Ho99o9 Detail New Album, Unveil “Incline” Featuring Nova Twins, Pink Siifu, and Yung Skrrt: Stream

Rap metal duo Ho99o9 (pronounced “horror”) have pulled back the curtain on their third album, Tomorrow We Escape, out September 9th, unveiling the tracklist, artwork, and another new song.

The band had previously released the grinding lead single “Upside Down,” and the new single, “Incline” — produced by David Sitek — follows in a similar vein, combining hip-hop, nu-metal, and industrial. Here the group is assisted by a trio of guest performers who are also known for experimentation: Nova Twins, Pink Siifu, and Yung Skrrt.

The rest of the album also features some other notable guest vocalists including Greg Puciato (ex-Dillinger Escape Plan, Jerry Cantrell) on the song “Tapeworm” and Chelsea Wolfe on the track “Immortal.” As Ho99o9 revealed in the initial press announcement, Tomorrow We Escape sees the duo toning down the politics in favor of a more emotionally-driven songwriting approach.

“It was a healthy challenge to focus on emotion,” stated the band in a press release. “In the past, a lot of our material was politically charged. That element is present to a degree, but we wanted to take a more personal route. This mindset drove how we wrote songs. Everybody has a struggle. The goal is to find motivation for preservation.”
