Code Orange guitarist-singer Reba Meyers has released a new solo single titled “Clouded World.” Along with the drop, she also announced US tour dates for August.
The track marks the third one-off single from Meyers and was recorded by the late Steve Albini at his Electrical Audio studio just six months before his passing. Speaking on the recording process in a press release, Meyers reflected on Albini’s direct-to-tape approach.
“Steve championed the medium of physical recordings, and that process inherently encourages the commitment to imperfection,” Meyers said. “I hope to embrace the randomness and grit of life, which includes our imperfections, as both their beauty and ugliness are often able to both inspire and teach us about our inner workings.”

The track certainly bears Albini’s trademark sound with its twisted and bent guitars and massive drum production, as well as Meyers’ snarly delivery, which harkens back to Steve’s work with PJ Harvey.
As for the meaning behind the lyrics, Meyers stated: “Too many aspects of the modern human condition feel entirely over-labored and orchestrated. We have drifted far from our primal instincts and have gotten so distracted by the myriad tools at our fingertips that we forget that our human imperfections are the one thing that makes us special and unpredictable.”
Per the press release, “Clouded World” is set to be the title track for her forthcoming debut solo album, which is set for an early 2026 release with additional details coming soon. In the meantime, fans can hear the new singles and potentially more songs from the album when Meyers embarks on her debut solo tour.
The trek kicks off August 12th in Philadelphia and runs through August 25th in San Jose, California, and features support from Ninth Cage and Kimi Malka Hanauer. Tickets are on sale Friday (June 13th) at 10 a.m. local time, and you can find more information via Meyers’ website.
