Who was Keke Jabbar?

Keke Jabbar, full name Ne’Keshia Dawson Jabbar, was a social media and reality TV star.

She died on July 2 aged 42 but the cause of death has not been revealed.

Keke was married to Ameen Jabbar, a security specialist, according to social media reports.

The couple share three children together, two sons and a daughter.

One of their sons, Amaree Jabbar, was a high school football player at Sparkman school.

Keke has a famous cousin, LaTisha Scott, who has nearly 190,000 followers on Instagram.

LaTisha also appeared on “Love & Marriage: Huntsville” in 2023.

Keke also had a respectable social media following with an army of 18,000 loyal fans although she hadn’t been active in weeks.

In her Instagram bio the star describes herself as a writer, editor, author, professor TV personality and Educator and speaker.

Her last post, on May 27 2024, showed Keke appearing in good spirits and wishing her followers a happy memorial day and announcing her new swimwear range.

She says: “I’m at the pool with a few of my friends just kicking memorial day off with some fun people.”

The pairs collaborate to revitalise their city of Huntsville through their joint real estate venture: The Comeback Group.

The show is successful and pulled in more than 400,000 viewers on an episode which aired on January 13.

What have Keke’s family said about her death?

The reality TV star’s death was announced Tuesday by blogger Marcella Speaks during a YouTube live stream, where she read a statement she said was from Keke’s family.

In the statement, her loved ones say Keke died “peacefully at home surrounded in love.” They did not mention a cause of death.

KeKe’s family is remembering her as “a mom, a sister, and a great friend, full of life, love, and laughter.”

LaTisha Scott posted on social media saying: “At this time we are asking for RESPECT, and PRIVACY in our moment of grief, while we process this great loss! This is hard for our family!!!!!”
