TikTok is celebrating ten years of BTS with a special hashtag promotion, #10yrsWithBTS. Here’s the latest.
The K-pop group has broken several BTS records since joining the social media platform in 2019. They were the fastest account to reach one million followers—in just 13 hours. The group has 59.9 million followers, making them a global phenomenon and the most-followed TikTok account in South Korea. BTS is also the most searched-for music artist on TikTok across the globe. Those stats highlight just how much of a global phenomenon BTS has become.
TikTok is collaborating with BTS on their 10th Anniversary FESTA, the celebration of all things BTS. TikTok is celebrating with a #10yrswithBTS hashtag challenge and a unique effect, a community-created compilation video and exclusive footage to support the group’s upcoming new single. The campaign will also include a compilation video created from the global TikTok community’s creations throughout the campaign period. Fans could have a chance to have their video featured in this upcoming video just by posting their video using the #10yrswithBTS hashtag.
TikTok is supporting the release of the BTS single “Take Two” in the #newmusic hub, where the band will also be posting exclusive footage to celebrate their decade together as a group. BTS will post a special message to fans here. TikTok says a very special collaboration as of yet to be revealed will be announced in the coming days.
