Singer, army reservist and licensed private pilot Ronnie Liang has been to many remote areas and the experience of traveling to these places, he says, always leaves a mark on him.
Liang feels there is a lot more to learn in the remote places he has been to, as he spoke about the many activities that he participated in lately as a reservist, as per his Instagram page yesterday, April 6.
He shared photos of his military activities which include tree planting, a feeding program, dental mission and recruitment advocacy. All these was during his recent visit in La Paz, when he also visited a group commander in Butuan.
“I get to experience how people in those areas live their lives. It creates a huge impact on the way I see myself, my country, and my comrades,” he stressed. “It gives me a great learning experience, and I develop new (passions).”
“My heartfelt thanks to all for the warm welcome, as well as for the Certificate of Recognition & Military Commendation Medal,” he added, dedicating his achievement to all soldiers and his fellow Reservists.
A few days ago, April 1, Liang also showed a photo of himself receiving an award from the Civil Military Operation Regiment.
“I am beyond blessed and honored when I was recognized by the Philippine Army, the Institution I deeply admire, during the 125th Founding Anniversary for my service as a Reservist,” he said.
The award all the more inspires Liang to do more for his countrymen and he is beyond grateful.
“Because the award is not something I aim while serving the country, but the appreciation from the higher-ups for the things I love to do means so much to me,” he added. JB
