Jack White Takes a Jab at Oasis Ticket Prices

On the road with his unconventional “No Name Tour,” Jack White made a stop in London on Friday night for an unapologetic rock’n’roll performance at the Islington Assembly Hall. While onstage, he took a jab at the newly reunited Oasis, comparing his own relatively affordable tickets to the astronomical prices fans paid for their upcoming reunion shows.

White’s comment came near the mid-point of his performance. After exiting the stage for a moment (telling the audience “That’s all I got!”), he returned for more music and amped up the crowd, saying, “This is the kind of rock’n’roll you’re not gonna get at Wembley Stadium for £400!”

From there, White played the No Name cut “Archbishop Harold Holmes” and The White Stripes song “Ball and Biscuit,” followed by another brief exit from stage, and then a 12-song encore, which included “Seven Nation Army” and The Raconteurs’ “Steady, As She Goes.” See clips from the performance below.

Of course, White’s jab comes in reference to the hundreds of dollars Oasis fans paid for tickets to their 2025 reunion shows in the UK and Ireland. Entry to White’s London show cost £55 before fees, whereas due to Ticketmaster’s surge ticket pricing, some Oasis fans handed over sums north of £350 for their tickets, with VIP packaging going for hundreds more.

In the wake of this, Oasis has done some damage control, adding a pair of shows to the reunion tour at Wembley Stadium with a “ballot system” for fans who were unable to purchase tickets the first go-around.

As for White, his “No Name Tour” mostly consists of club gigs announced as closed close to the show date as possible. However, he does have a pair of festival gigs lined up at Mempho Music Festival in Memphis, TN and Corona Capital in Mexico City this fall.
