Qureshi loves to do yoga as a way to stay in shape. She posted this set of photos of herself in a bridge pose on Instagram. She captioned the post, “Slow and Steady…. One day at a time towards a stronger ME!!” To do a bridge pose: “Start by lying on your back. Keep your feet shoulder-length apart with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Start with your hands at your sides, palms down, on the floor. Inhale and push your hips up. Keep your head, neck and shoulders flat on the floor. Place your hands on your back, pointing fingers toward your lower back and keeping the thumbs on your sides. Breathe deeply. For a more advanced option, try walking your feet out further while in the bridge pose. Hold the pose for 30 seconds. Then walk your feet back. Then move your arms to your sides on the floor. Lower your hips,” says the Mayo Clinic.
Qureshi loves to have pool days with her friends and family. She reposted this video from her brother’s Instagram account. In it, they enjoyed time in the pool with their loved ones. She captioned the post, “How @saqibsaleem tried to kill me on Sibling day .. thank you for the edit.”
Qureshi decided to go on a cleanse to help herself be healthier. She wrote on Twitter, “Now training hard! 28-day Detox. Forget the scale!” One note from the experts though: “Cleanses aren’t effective for long-term weight loss,” registered dietitian Kate Patton, MEd, RD, CSSD, LD tells the Cleveland Clinic. “The weight you lose from a cleanse is a result of losing water, carbohydrate stores and stool, which all return after you resume a regular diet.”
In the same tweet, Qureshi talked about her reasons for going on a cleanse. She revealed that she isn’t interested in losing weight, and she is focusing on being healthy and happy. “Forget the scale! Your self worth is not dependent on the weighing scale or weight. Be the best version of you.”
Quershi revealed what she eats in a day on this Instagram post. She says that she likes to have a hot glass of lemon water before breakfast each day. She wrote, “30 mins before breakfast. Cup of hot water with juice with half lemon and fresh grated ginger.” Anything that gets you hydrated and is sugar-free is a good idea.
