Daredevil: Born Again season one’s finale leaves NYC in shambles. Fisk and his anti-vigilante task force have the city under martial law. Anyone who dares to rebel or even looks like a vigilante is subject to jail… or worse. And Matt Murdock is scrambling to figure out how he can bring together his own army to fight Fisk. Essentially, the season leaves us with three major teams: Team Daredevil, Team Fisk, and Team Revenge/Rogue. Pretty much every major and secondary character has chosen a side, and it sets up quite the explosive stage for Daredevil: Born Again season two.
Who Is on Team Matt Murdock/Daredevil in Daredevil: Born Again?
Team Daredevil consists of several people, including Karen Page, who is back in the city for at least a bit, Matt’s legal partner Kirsten McDuffie, retired policeman Cherry, NYPD Detective Angie Kim, bar owner Josie, and a small group of trusted NYPD officers. It’s not much but it is certainly a start. Plus, there are many people in NYC who support vigilantes and aren’t cool with Fisk’s policies.
Who Is on Team Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in Daredevil: Born Again?

Wilson Fisk’s team has many predictable suspects, including his wife Vanessa, his protégé Daniel Blake, his right hand man Buck Cashman, all the rogue criminals he aligns with, and his assembly of bad cops who comprise the anti-vigilante task force. Honestly, I’d be on his side after I saw him pop a man’s head with his bare hands.
But, Fisk also has a new ally with Matt’s girlfriend Heather Glenn, who takes a position as the Commissioner of Mental Health. And, we guess that all the socialites that Fisk blackmailed into supporting his project will be on his side for a while. Just as vigilantes have their supporters, there are NYC civilians who also side with Fisk.
Who Is Team Revenge/Rogue/Do Whatever I Wanna Do?

Well, we all know who is the face of the “do whatever I want” movement: Frank Castle. While he did defend Matt Murdock, he is also ready to take down his irritating fanboys who are giving his Punisher symbol a bad name. In a post-credits scene, it appears that the Punisher escapes his imprisonment. Now, he’s gonna be gunning for Wilson Fisk for revenge. Matt does have plans to build his own force and will certainly cross paths with him again, but Frank is not really a teamwork kinda guy, at least not in the not-killing way that Matt wants to do things.
Punisher aside, a few others are up to their own agendas. Journalist BB is trying to bring down Fisk, but sadly the NYPD Commissioner won’t be around to help because he’s dead. And Angela del Toro is likely to rise as the next White Tiger and not only get revenge for her uncle’s death, but also aim her sights at taking down Fisk, too.
Duquesne, whom Fisk tried to blackmail in episode 8, is now locked up because he is the vigilante Swordsman. Surely he will want to break out and get revenge too. Finally, Dex a.k.a. Bullseye is fully team “do whatever I want” who also wants to kill Fisk. That’s a lot. There could be even more vigilantes who have their own agendas rising in the midst of this whirlwind.
Daredevil: Born Again’s next season will surely have shifts between Team Daredevil, Team Fisk, and Team Rogue. But, for now, the stage is set and things are truly chaotic in NYC.
