Jin of BTS has announced that his first solo album, Happy, will be released on November 15th.
According to a press release from HYBE, Happy is a six-track project where Jin “reveals his honest thoughts and feelings on what happiness means to him in the hopes that those who listen to the album will also find joy.”
As the oldest member of the group, Jin departed first to complete his chapter of compulsory military service. He was discharged on June 12th.
While enlisting first meant he wasn’t able to drop an official pre-departure project like his bandmates, Jin did leave fans with a sweet 2022 single, “The Astronaut,” co-written by Chris Martin of Coldplay.
Since completing his service, Jin has been globetrotting, hitting fashion shows and acting as a torch-bearer for the summer Olympics in Paris. Meanwhile, j-hope is set to complete his military chapter next in just two days.
In recent months, members of the BTS ARMY have been able to stay busy with new full-length releases from both RM and Jimin, a single from RM with Megan Thee Stallion, a Disney+ travel show from Jimin and Jung Kook, and a special project from j-hope.
