June 30th 2024: In just a few short hours, British pop icons Girls Aloud will take to the stage one last time, to perform the 30th, and final date of their triumphant, and beautifully poignant Girls Aloud Show arena tour.
Originally announced back in the autumn of 2023, via an internet breaking social media countdown, and epic, nostalgia-filled commercial, the premise of the highly anticipated (and much longed for) tour, was to not only commemorate two decades since the bands initial formation, but also to honour and celebrate the life of the late, great, electric Sarah Harding, who sadly passed away in 2021.
‘The Girls Aloud Show’ UK & Ireland Arena Tour 2024
With initial demand for tickets reaching fever pitch, and excitement surrounding the girls return to the stage at a seemingly all time high, 15 dates quickly turned into 30, and the girls soon found themselves selling out some of the UK and Irelands biggest concert venues – most notably, FIVE SOLD OUT nights at the legendary O2 Arena in London.
In a bid to be transparent with their loyal tribe of devoted followers, Cheryl, Nicola, Nadine and Kimberley went to great lengths to stress that whilst they were thrilled to be back working together, they had no plans to head into the studio, to record or release any new music. Instead they would take this moment to pay their respects to Girls Aloud’s vast back catalogue, and revel in all of the success they achieved together as a band.
Since the tours spectacular opening night in Dublin back in May, The Girls Aloud Show has garnered universal praise from audiences, as well as some of the industries most astute critics, including Zara Hedderman of The Guardian, who stated: “Girls Aloud are a glorious pop institution still calling the shots”, and The Daily Telegraph’s Neil McCormick, who noted that “these women have got qualities their younger selves would struggle to match: experience, loyalty, the sheer life-affirming delight of being able to stand onstage and sing to remind themselves, and their fans, that we are still here, and to celebrate those who aren’t”.
Almost 22 years since they were voted the winners of Popstars: The Rivals, perhaps it’s finally time to acknowledge the fact that Girls Aloud were without doubt the ultimate British girl group of the noughties, who defined a decade, and raised a generation, with their no-nonsense attitudes, ground-breaking sound, and phenomenal run of historic pop hits, including the No.1 singles ‘Sound Of The Underground’, ‘The Promise’ and ‘I’ll Stand By You’, and cast-iron classics ‘Love Machine’, ‘Call The Shots’, ‘Biology’, ‘Something New’ and ‘The Show’.
Fast-forward to 2024, and for many fans The Girls Aloud Show is more than just a pop concert, and frivolous night out with friends, but rather an opportunity to reconnect with the people they once were, before the world told them who to be.
So join us, and an army of Alouders, as we take a magical walk down memory lane to look back and reflect upon both this gloriously, life-affirming tour, and a whole lotta shared history…

Nadine, Nicola, Cheryl and Kimberley…. I don’t know where to start! You are all so INCREDIBLE, and I cannot thank you enough for coming back to us, and writing this latest chapter in Girls Aloud’s story.
Beautiful Sarah, our angel in heaven, whilst we missed seeing you in person, we felt your presence night after night thanks to your Girls Aloud sisters, who so thoughtfully and poignantly, included you in what will forever be one of the most special, and life-affirming pop concerts EVER!
Girls, I will always stand by you.

Until this tour, I don’t think I’d ever quite realised what a community and family was formed as a result of peoples love for Girls Aloud. Seeing the girls come back together has been amazing, but equally so has reuniting with so many friends from my teens.
When you love a pop band as a kid, it’s almost expected of you to one day fall out of love with them, and in a way, I kind of fell into that trap, because as I got older I foolishly listened to those people who told me it was time to “grow up” and put away childish things.
A lot of us lived and breathed Girls Aloud the first time around, and wasn’t life (and the world) a whole lot nicer, and less complicated back then? It’s been so amazing to reconnect with who I used to be… and I really like this version of me.
Thank you girls xx

Thank you so much Girls Aloud for putting together the most incredible show – it was amazing, and I loved every minute of it! You honoured Sarah’s memory so beautifully, and continue to do a wonderful job of keeping her legacy alive; she will be looking down on you with nothing but pride.
I hope one day we will see you again, because we all love you.

Girls, I don’t know how you’ve found the strength to get up on stage, night after night to honour Sarah.
To us, Sarah was our idol! To you, she was your friend and a sacred part of your history. Whilst we all adored her, and felt a connection with her, you girls became a part of her, and she a part of you; you knew the REAL Sarah. There will only ever be 5 people who know what it was like to be a member of Girls Aloud, no amount of time or distance will ever break the bond the 5 of you share.
Thank you for the music, the joy, and the new memories you’ve given us during The Girls Aloud Show Tour.

It’s been so wonderful to hear all of your songs played live in arenas again, and amazing to see how they’ve taken on new meaning, 20 years after we all first fell in love with them!

Thank you for bringing everyone back together, and providing us with a safe space to both celebrate Girls Aloud, and remember Sarah. You turned my dreams into reality, I love you! P.s. the show was better than anything I could have ever imagined.

We’ve been “online friends” for over 14 years, thanks to Girls Aloud! We message and FaceTime, and even send each other birthday cards, but because we live over 2000 miles apart, we’ve never had the opportunity to meet face to face… until The Girls Aloud Show Tour!
We both absolutely LOVED the show, and were really moved by the tribute to Sarah, so in honour of her and the girls, we decided to get matches tattoos that say: “The darkest nights produce the brightest stars”.

Thank you so much for coming back girls! I’ve followed you since the very beginning of your career, so to see performing together again is the best thing ever!
I have loved, and enjoyed every single minute of this tour with my wife! It’s been amazing to have all of the fanbase back together, singing along to all of your brilliant songs, and seeing you all so happy up there on that stage! The only thing missing was Sarah; I so wish she was here. But the four of you have made this tour a wonderful tribute to her, and it really did feel like she was on stage with you, and in the room with all of us.
Thank you once again, Love and always, Sarah and Lizzie xxx
“Tonight it is our duty and honour to take you on a magical journey down memory lane. Where you can experience joy, fun, unity, freedom, nostalgia, and most importantly, the celebration of our Sarah. A woman so very beautiful, talented, outrageous, and courageous. Do not hold back. We want to see your mouths singing, your arms waving, your hips shaking and your hearts open. Leave all your worries, troubles and differences at the door, because tonight you are with us.”

As someone who grew up listening to, and dancing along to Girls Aloud music, this tour has been a genuine dream come true! You can tell how much heart and passion you’ve put into it, and it’s been so special to see; Sarah would be so proud of you girls.
The memories I made the night I came to the show, will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Having been a Girls Aloud fan from the age of 5, this tour was everything I could have asked for and more! To have the opportunity to be so close to the “leaders of the pack” was incredible!
The show itself was perfect from start to finish – you gave us all the hits, choreography, vocals, bright colours and of course, the most amazing tribute to our gorgeous Sarah.
I was lucky enough to attend 3 dates in total, but I wish I could have done more! Please don’t let this be the end…
Key-ra (@keyragrahamx on ‘X’)
I am unbelievably proud of you girls for having the strength to go on stage without our Sarah! I know you made the decision to go back out on tour for her, and for the fans, and we can’t thank you enough for allowing us to experience our little Girls Aloud bubble again.
I have grown with you from a young teenager who suffered with anorexia, to a young woman who is now a fully qualified teacher and getting married next year in Santorini. It may sound cliche, but I would not have gotten through my darkest of times without your positive words to me personally, and through your lyrics.
Lastly, Sarah will be so proud of you all, for going out on stage night after night, and dedicating each moment to her. I have been to 10 dates on the tour, and every time I have always felt as if Sarah was in the room with us.
There will always be a part of Girls Aloud missing, but through your performances and music, the legend that is Sarah Harding will live on forever.
So here’s to ten more years… x
I’ll never desert you…

I came over from Canada just to attend the show!
My brother and I have been fans of Girls Aloud since the moment we heard ‘Sound of The Underground’, so as soon as we heard the tour was actually happening, we knew we HAD to be there!
My bother actually lives in the UK now, part of the reason for him making the move was because of is love for the girls and the hope that he would one day get to see them live. To be here in his new home city, and experience seeing Girls Aloud concert together has been so special. We’ve made so many wonderful memories on this trip.
The show itself was amazing – you could feel the joy, sadness, elation and raw emotion from each of the girls as they danced and sang their hearts out.
Unforgettable.

My name is Erika and I’m a Japanese Alouder! I came to see your show in Birmingham, and brought with me all of the love from every single Alouder in Asia.
You girls are the memory of my teenage years, and all of the moments you gave us from that time, still glitter in my heart.
I hope you girls can one day come to Japan.
All my love, Erika x

For me, seeing The Girls Aloud Show tour was a moment 20+ years in the making!
I flew in from Philadelphia, where I live, to attend the first show in Nottingham, and honestly, seeing my heroes, who’d I only ever previously known via the confines of my iPod and my computer, in real life was a mind-blowing experience!
As a kid I fell in love with the girls’ personalities, their realness, their frankness, and of course their experimental pop sound. I admired how they weren’t afraid to take risks or sing zany lyrics, everything they did seemed perfect to someone like me, aka practically the only gay boy in my school.
Girls Aloud became my little secret safe space, where I could escape away to, and be free, and not feel judged. The girls and their music helped me to accept myself. And as I grew up, I felt like I was growing with them. Nicola released ‘Cinderella’s Eyes’ during my first year at college, which proved to be another tricky time for me, but her lyrics about self confidence, acceptance, learning to like yourself, really resonated with me, at a time when I was desperate to shake off all of the labels people had tried to impose on me.
It’s fair to say the girls have played a massive role in both my teenage, and adult life (I’m now in my 30’s), so when they announced this tour last fall, I knew I had make the trip overseas to see them, no matter what! Being in that arena, singing and along dancing along to the music that has always made me feel safe and secure, was a complete life goal was achieved.
P.s. this photo is of me and friend as seniors in college, when we did a 46-hour dance marathon! We made shirts emblazoned with the ‘Something New’ lyrics: “I don’t wanna talk, I just wanna dance!”

I’ve been a Girls Aloud fan ever since I was born, so to come on this new magical journey with you has been a privilege. The fact that you girls saw me in the crowd, night after night, was such a surreal experience, and something I will never ever forget.
Thank you, I love you.

I’m so proud of the girls for putting on such an amazing tour, and for the ways they honoured and celebrated the beautiful Sarah!
I’ve been to see the show four times, one being with my little sister, as it was a promise we made to each other as kids, that one day we would go to a Girls Aloud concert together, and other three times meeting up with all the Alouders I’ve know for years on Twitter!

Girls Aloud have played a big part in helping me stay positive as l continue to embark on my chronic illness journey.
The first time I saw them live was at a Capital FM gig many, many years ago, where they performed on a tiny little stage in Greenwich. After standing at the front, waiting for what seemed like hours with my sister, I suddenly became unwell and had to leave just as the girls began their set. I’ve since been diagnosed with Postural Tachycardia Syndrome.
Fast forward to last Sunday night, and I was able to see them live again! Again with my sister, and again in Greenwich, but this time it was on a much bigger stage, and it was their own headline show celebrating everything they’ve achieved together.
We were at the front, in the disabled section, and it was amazing. But most importantly, I was able to stay and enjoy every minute of the show this time! Me and my sister loved it so much, we ended up buying tickets for the final night at the o2, and we took our Mum as a way to say ‘thank you’ for taking us to see the girls all the way back in 2003.
Below is a photo of the friendship bracelet I wore at the shows to represent Sarah x

It was a dream come true, to finally see you all back together… this was my reaction the moment the curtain dropped, and I saw you for the first time in Birmingham on June 19th.
I did (thankfully) get to meet Sarah back in 2016, but I had never had the opportunity to come to a Girls Aloud show until this year, so now I know that dreams really do glitter… thank you for an amazing tour girls!

Cheryl, Kimberley, Nadine, Nicola and our brightest star Sarah… I have loved you since I was 6-years-old, and I’m now 28, so as Nicola says in the show, we really do now have a “whole lotta history” together.
Because of Girls Aloud, I have so much to be thankful for! I have met the most amazing people, and now have the most incredible friends all because of YOU five girls!
The Girls Aloud Show was everything I had hoped for and more, it has meant so much both to me, and so many others too – it’s honestly been incredible but also, so very bittersweet. By the time the tour ends, I will have been to 7 shows, travelling to Manchester, Birmingham, London and Liverpool to see you! I can’t even begin to describe the emotional rollercoaster I’ve been taken on each night… the nostalgia is unreal, and the happiness thats radiated around the arenas has been off the scale!
Sarah will forever be loved and never forgotten. You have honoured her in the most beautiful way, and she would be very, very proud of you all. Thank you for doing this for her, and for us too… I can’t wait to make even more great memories with you in the future.
Forever an Alouder!

Girls Aloud were my everything as a child, and remain an essential part of my life to this day. There are simply no words that could ever explain what they meant to me back then, and what they still mean to me now. The amount of love of I have for the girls, and the emotional and sentimental connection I feel towards each of them – I know they will always be my number ones!
Losing Sarah was the first celebrity death to really impact me deeply, because she felt like someone I’d known for most of my life. I so wish she could have been here for this tour (as I know everyone does), but she would be so proud of the girls for this amazing show, and glowing response it’s had. Not only has it cemented Sarah’s legacy as the incredible singer, performer and entertainer she was, but also the legacy of the five women who make up Girls Aloud, and were all key to its success. Sarah was a star that burnt so bright, but for not long enough. I’m just so glad we got to see her sparkle and shine on stage again, in the way she always did.
Thank you girls for being there for me for over two decades, and for being such an important part of my life.

It has been so fantastic to see the girls come together again, this time to celebrate both their legacy and Sarah, who we all miss. Their tributes to her were handled beautifully. I feel so lucky to have been to four shows, and I can’t wait to see them again at Brighton Pride.
When I was in primary school, I remember watching Popstars: The Rivals and being team “COME ON THE GIRLS” from day one. I became known as the kid who loved Girls Aloud, and would perform their songs on the playground almost every chance I got.
This resulted in me making lots of new friendships, but also being made fun of. But I still went out there, played their songs loud, bought every album, went to every tour (my first ever concert was a Girls Aloud show in Cardiff), and continued to sing and dance to their music, no matter what anybody said. Through it all, Girls Aloud have been there for me, and they continue to be to this day.
Going to see The Girls Aloud Show with my sister and her friend (the same two people who I attended my first ever concert with) felt like a real full circle moment for me. To be together again, this time. In the VIP section, was amazing! We had the time of our lives.
Thank you Girls Aloud, for everything!

I was lucky enough to see Girls Aloud in Birmingham on Wednesday, June 19th, and I honestly left the arena speechless!
Having been a lifelong fan of the band, I knew they’d put on a good show, but this show, The Girls Aloud Show, was next level. Was it different due to Sarah sadly not being there? Of course. But she was included throughout in the most beautiful ways – ‘Whole Lotta History’ and ‘I’ll Stand By You’ made me cry! But as sad as those moments were, the highs were HIGH! It was like attending one massive party, and it felt as though no time had passed, and Girls Aloud had never been away… I hope my girls don’t disappear again, but I’ve loved re-living my fangirl days!
To Girls Aloud, thank you for putting this tour together, and for giving us fans the chance to go back in time and remember Sarah – you’re the best girl band out there!

I came to see you girls in Manchester and Birmingham, and each show exceeded my expectations! Your vocals, your stage presence, the costumes, the visuals… everything was just top tier.
My favourite part of the show was for sure during ‘Wake Me Up’, when you flew / drove across the arena on your motorbikes – what an amazing moment, it honestly left me speechless! It goes without saying that I also loved the show serves as a beautiful tribute to the gorgeous Sarah Harding, who we all miss very much.
It was a dream come true to see the girls together again, and I’ll be forever grateful to have had this opportunity to be a part of The Girls Aloud Show 2024.

Growing up, I was such a huge fan of yours, but as my parents weren’t particularly into going concerts or live shows when I was younger, I never got the opportunity to see you the first time around. So in 2024, to have been able to attend 5 nights (2 in VIP) has meant so much to me, and I’ll forever be so grateful for the experiences I’ve had… I even brought my Mum along to one show, and she had the greatest time dancing along with everyone in the pit!
One final highlight… seeing the pride on your faces as you watched your wonderful friend up on the big screens.

Thank you so much for putting this show together! It has been an incredible way to celebrate the legacy of Girls Aloud, and of course our beautiful Sarah.
As a fan for 22 years, it was a dream come true to attend two of the Newcastle shows, after having first seen on the Ten Tour, 11 years prior.
The setlist was GREAT, and I was incredibly touched by the montage of clips showing Sarah throughout her time in Girls Aloud. Sarah’s own version of ‘I’ll Stand By You’ was beautiful, and hearing her sing “here I am, walking Primrose” to an arena full of people, was an amazing way to keep Sarah’s spirit alive within the band.
Let’s not also forget the GAG of the night, which was seeing you perform ‘Girl Overboard’, ‘On The Metro’, and ‘Graffiti My Soul’, AND of course the moment you flew across the arena on motorbikes during ‘Wake Me Up!’
Let’s not forget, a whole lotta confetti!

Finally getting to see this incredible group of girls, for my very first live concert, was so special!
It’s been heartwarming, and really a lot of fun to watch not only every single person in the audience fully enjoying themselves, but also to see the girls having a blast together on stage again – the amount of effort and energy they have put into every performance is astonishing to me!
Through it all, Sarah was there in spirit cheering them on… I think we all felt her energy! I can definitely picture her laughing at Nadine, and her ongoing battle with the confetti.
Being a fan of Girls Aloud, and Nadine in particular means so much to me. I hope you realise just how much you’ve connected with us, and allowed us to feel proud, and confident enough to be our true, authentic selves.
I hope you’re able to take a break, and get some well earned rest after the tour finishes, but equally I hope it’s not too long before we see you beautiful ladies together again.

Me and all my mates know each other from being Girls Aloud fans back in the day. We bonded and formed strong friendships because of the band, and our love for their music.
We are all from Spain, and so we flew to Dublin for the first two dates of the tour, and will be in Liverpool for the last two show.
Seeing them perform live has healed our little adolescent hearts, as I’m sure it has done for many others, and I can’t ever be thankful enough that they came back.

Hi girls,
I’m Megan from Northern Ireland, and I just want to thank you for putting on the most incredible tour, which I was lucky enough to attend twice – first at the opening night in Dublin, and then the first London show, where I was living my best life in the pit.
I was 6-years-old when Girls Aloud formed, so I quite literally grew up with your music. Although I never had the honour of seeing Sarah on tour with you in the past, it felt like she was there each night, thanks to all of the beautiful tributes.
I now have the most incredible memories that’ll last a lifetime, and hopefully it won’t be the last time I’ll be at one of your shows.
Thank you for sharing your time, energy and love for Girls Aloud, and Sarah, with us.
Lots of love,

This year marks 9 years since my best friend Kimberley passed away. She and I met through our love of Girls Aloud, she was honestly one of their biggest fans, and I miss her everyday.
Kimberley would have LOVED the fact the girls were back together and going on tour, so because she sadly couldn’t be there in person, I made this poster in her honour and took it along with me to the Cardiff to make her a part if this new era in the girls career.
Jenny (@_Jenny_x on X)
I never thought the girls would get back together, let alone do another tour, so you can imagine how excited I was when they announced The Girls Aloud Show! As happy as I was though, a part of me was also really sad, because it suddenly became very real that Sarah wouldn’t be there. But to the girls credit, she has been included in so much of the show, and I have felt her presence every single night.
I lost my Mum in October 2021, a month after Sarah’s passing, and because of that ‘I’ll Stand By You’ has so much more meaning to me now.
Nadine, Nicola, Cheryl and Kimberley, thank you so much for the past 22 years, I have made friends for life because of you girls! I absolutely love to see how close you all are now as sisters, Sarah will be looking down on you with a big beaming smile, and feeling so proud.

Having lost a friend myself at Christmas, I found The Girls Aloud Show to be really healing, as the tribute to Sarah was so touching.
Girls you have done so much for me, and have really helped shape me into the person I am today. I’ve waited four years to see you, and you did not disappoint, thank you!
Thea (@theakbr on ‘X’)
Dear Nadine, Nicola, Cheryl, and Kimberley,
Your music is woven throughout the entirety of my life. To have finally been able to see you live is a dream come true. If I could’ve have gone to every show on this tour, I would’ve, but unfortunately I am now a 24-year-old in full time employment, with “big girl” problems, rather than an 8-year-old with only school to worry about… my obsession with ‘Whole Lotta History’ however, still remains!
The night I saw you at the o2, is a night I will truly never forget. When I was little I asked my mum to take me to one of your shows, but instead she got me the DVD for Christmas because, as she put it: “the view will be better!” Don’t get me wrong, the DVD was amazing and I adored it, but I held that grudge towards until I got a ticket for this tour in December 2023!!
Thank you for being there for me as I grew up, and being there for me now that I have entered adulthood. I have gone from a little girl staying up past her bedtime to watch the music video for ‘The Loving Kind’ on my iPod, to a big girl, with a degree, and most importantly… no official bedtime!!
I cannot thank you enough for the happiness you have given me throughout my life. I really hope that I can see you live again but if this is it… then thank you for making it truly magical and making my dreams come true.

I have been listening to Girls Aloud’s music for as long as I can remember! ‘The Sound of Girls Aloud’ holds so many fond memories foe me, as I can still vividly recall my mum and I singing along to each and every track on the CD as we drove to visit my grandparents when I was around 4-years-old.
Fast forward to this year, I’m now 20-years-old, and I finally got to see the band perform live in Cardiff with my Mum! What a night – it felt like living out a childhood dream, and getting to witness Cheryl (a true inspiration of mine) deliver the ICONIC line: “when the baseline jumps in CARDIFF” was everything! Easily one of the best nights of my life!
The poignant tributes to Sarah, especially during ‘Whole Lotta History’, will stay with me forever. Truly beautiful moments, for the most beautiful person.
Thank you girls for playing such a significant role in my childhood. I can only hope to one day see you perform together again.
Sending so much love,
Chloe
