Few actors are lucky enough to star in an iconic television comedy that stands the test of time, especially as of late. But Reid Scott, who starred in every season of Veep as D.C. douche Dan Egan, is one of them.

Speaking to BroBible‘s Post-Credit Podcast in tandem with the release of his new comedy Who Invited Charlie?, Scott — who has also starred in projects such as the Venom franchise and Curb Your Enthusiasm — walked us through his favorite memory from filming the show.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the first memory that pops into Scott’s mind is an epic line delivery from comedy iconic Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who won a staggering six consecutive Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

“We’re all on location and we’re shooting at a high school. And there was a scene where Julia’s character thinks she might be pregnant for a second,” Scott explained during an interview with BroBible’s Post Credit Podcast.

“So, she and Anna Chlumsky slip into the little girl’s room and she pees into a cup and she takes the test. And she comes down the hall, holding her cup of urine, and we find out that someone in the press had called her repugnant. And she turns to me with this cup of urine and she goes, ‘Why am I repugnant?’ And the look on Julia’s face — because she was so earnest, she’s such an incredible actress — it was so real, I couldn’t keep it together. I think I ruined every take.”

After Scott’s story, I then suggested that Julia Louis-Dreyfus might be the funniest person alive, and he earnestly agreed. You can check out the clip of our interview below and the full 30-minute chat over on YouTube, where we also discuss working with Tom Hardy in Venom and Larry David in Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Scott can most recently be seen starring in the new comedy Who Invited Charlie? alongside Adam Pally and Jordana Brewster. The film is available to rent or purchase on demand.
