Tommy Fury chose to be a love rat over a dad – he’ll live to regret it, Molly-Mae’s solo parenting makes her Gen Z icon

JUST when we thought sportsmen infidelity couldn’t get any worse, Tommy Fury makes a late (but strong) entrance to the tosser of the year competition. 

The pro boxer, 25, reportedly cheated on influencer and businesswoman Molly-Mae Hague, also 25, “a number of times” while she was sitting at home “holding the baby”.

Gen Z-ers have been absolutely reeling since she announced the end of their relationship on Instagram yesterday. 

And now, a friend close to the couple has confirmed Tommy’s infidelity and said that the mum-of-one “fully expects that other women are going to come forward” with allegations. 

On the surface, Molly-Mae was living in a picture-perfect fairytale.

She had a stunning £4 million Cheshire home, a hugely successful career (both on social media and through her own business ventures) and a beautiful baby girl, Bambi, now one. 

When Tommy put a £600,000 ring on her finger eight months after Bambi was born, it was presumably the icing on her seemingly perfect cake. 

Just a year later though, she’s found herself as a single mum.

As Molly-Mae begins to navigate a new version of parenting without Tommy under the same roof, the future must feel extremely daunting.

But will it come as a shock? I doubt it.

The cracks have been showing in the Hague-Fury camp for some time, with Molly-Mae openly admitting that she is a “solo parent”. 

For months, the pair have been swatting off cheating rumours and the mum-of-one has been snapped without her six-figure engagement ring on a number of occasions. 

While she might have had suspicions of Tommy’s infidelity then, it’s clear to me that something too big for her to ignore has happened now.

Looking back at social media vlogs and candid admissions Molly-Mae has made over the last two years, I agree with social media sleuths that their relationship was doomed from the moment she fell pregnant. 

Despite his huge (but clearly hollow) declaration of commitment with a lavish Ibiza proposal last summer, Tommy has made it abundantly clear that he was never willing to be a devoted partner or dad. 

As a result, Molly-Mae has spent the last 20 months confessedly “solo parenting” their daughter while Tommy embarked on numerous escapades to bed random women. 

Not-so-basic biology

When she was pregnant, the boxer  expressed an embarrassing ignorance to childbirth on At Home With The Furys, his heavyweight champion brother Tyson’s Netflix series.

He thought that it was the placenta that got snipped, rather than the umbilical cord, and claimed he wanted to keep “a sachet” of the sack in his wallet after the birth. 

Molly-Mae’s face at the time resembled that of a disapproving teacher – before she began nervously laughing at the fact her adult boyfriend had just compared her afterbirth to a “sachet of ketchup”. 

It wasn’t just his serious need for basic biology lessons that clearly made Filter founder seemingly uneasy, but also his desire to not send their unborn child to school. 

Tommy is half-traveller from his dad John Fury’s side, and hails his traditional gypsy roots as “the right way” to raise a child. 

Dismissing schooling was something Molly-Mae staunchly opposed and she said at the time that she hoped it “wouldn’t cause rifts” between them. 

Molly-Mae is now aware Tommy was unfaithful to her. She believes it has happened a number of times. She is absolutely heartbroken and says she fully expects that other women are going to come forward and speak to her about him being unfaithful.

The couple also clashed on how many children they each wanted, which is hardly the perfect ingredient of a happily ever after. 

Molly-Mae said that “her dream” was to have two, while Tommy hoped for ten. 

Even when she agreed to compromise and have three, Tommy urged her to “change her ways”.

His childish argument for wanting a bigger brood was that every child needs somebody to sit next to on a rollercoaster.

Had I been in Molly-Mae’s shoes, I’d have had serious doubts about this man’s parenting skills long before the exhaustion of sleepless nights set in. 

NOT Leading by Example

Tommy said that all he would ask of his daughter was for her to “have her morals, and be kind and considerate”. 

But it’s clear the wannabe-Lothario doesn’t intend to lead by example. 

In the wake of his cheating scandal, the parental phrase, ‘do as I say, don’t do as I do’, has never rang truer. 

I doubt Tommy even tried to shed his “laddish” side after becoming a dad.

Ever since Bambi was born in January 2023, he has been pictured partying countless times – even with the likes of convicted domestic abuser Chris Brown. 

He was snapped shirtless in clubs, having his face touched by girls in Dubai and even cutting questionable shapes in a VIP section of Trilogy night club in March this year. 

Molly-Mae hinted at her disapproval at his shenanigans when she briefly stopped wearing her engagement ring after footage emerged of him partying on a wild night out in Abu Dhabi last November.

At the time a source told The Sun: “This weekend has ended up being a real embarrassment to her [Molly-Mae].

“She was mortified when she kept getting tagged in videos while she was just trying to enjoy a festive weekend with Bambi.”

Since rising to fame in 2019, the mum-of-one has been vocal about disliking booze.

She has never shied away from telling fans that Tommy’s partying antics were the cause of “major arguments” between them. 

But even so, there was clearly a tie binding her with Tommy which she couldn’t bring herself to cut loose.

‘Solo Parenting’

Time trickled on and Molly-Mae continued to be a “solo parent” to little Bambi.

It’s a sad dynamic that she’s been candid about it in her many vlogs over the last 20 months. 

Heartbreaking when you think about it, given that she was just 23-years-old when she became a mum for the first time. 

While Tommy was apparently swanning off for work trips and getting involved in, ahem, extra-curricular activities, Molly-Mae has been slogging it out at home raising her girl. 

Where’s the fairness in that?

In a vlog posted to YouTube only last week, she admitted that she had been “solo parenting” amid “the most intense week of her entire life”.

This was all because Tommy was working away from home recording an audiobook. 

Yet there are countless mums out there, famous or otherwise, who juggle the demands of work without shirking their family commitments – so what gave him the free pass to put one above the other? 

And there’s a common theme running Molly-Mae’s vlogs about Tommy’s absence.

If he’s not in month-long boxing training camps, he’s on jollies across the globe that are disguised as “work”. 

But if you were to ask me, I’d assume Molly-Mae is way more busy than her party-loving ex-beau.

She runs three businesses, is an influencer and works alongside some of the biggest brands in the UK.

On paper, her firms are worth FOUR times what boxer Tommy’s are – so if anyone should’ve been swanning off for work, I say it should’ve been her.

‘Especially Not This Way’

In the wake of recent allegations, I think we’re all safe to assume what he was up to on these so-called work trips. 

Molly-Mae’s break-up statement stinks of something more that is yet to come to light.

Social media is awash with speculation – from claims that Tommy has a new bird to theories that he may have even gotten someone else pregnant.

But rumours aside, all I’m reading is that he has failed to step up as a dad.

But the split can only help, not hinder, Molly-Mae’s image – navigating life as a ‘single mum’ will without doubt make her a bigger Gen Z icon than she was already.

She has eight million followers on Instagram, including countless young girls who hang onto every letter she types.  

What better example is there to set for young women than walking away from a man who clearly doesn’t respect her, even with a young child in tow? 

Gen Z will admire her bravery.

Molly-Mae is showing that no matter how long you’ve been with someone, and no matter what they’ve promised you for the future, you walk away when they disrespect you.

Perhaps the influencer can also draw courage and reassurance from fellow single mums in the public eye.

Some may argue that Kim Kardashian’s career soared when she walked away from her marriage to Kanye West and became a single mum for their four children. 

In the case of Molly-Mae, she clearly doesn’t need a love rat by her side who leaves her “holding the baby” whenever the mood takes him.
