Tia Mowry has a confession to make – she’s “never been alone.”
In a new chapter of her life, the mom of two has revealed that she’s learning to recharge and rejuvenate during her newfound “moments of solitude” and sharing what learning to be alone has done for her life with her social media followers.
Tia Mowry Shares That She’s ‘Never Been Alone’
Mowry, who finalized her divorce after 14 years of marriage to Cory Hardrict a few months ago, is learning how to spend her alone time and sharing what she’s learned during that time with her Instagram followers.
The actress recently shared a video that shows her dressed to the nines dancing in front of her Christmas tree with a bottle and glass of wine in her hands while lip syncing to Alicia Keys’ hit, “Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart.”
Her caption explains why she appears to be living it up all by herself in the video.
“I have a confession to make: I’ve never been alone. Until now,” the caption begins.
“For the longest time, I’ve found myself in the company of others, as my work and family commitments kept me constantly surrounded by people, and not to mention, I have a twin. Alone time was a rare occurrence growing up,” she continued.
She then goes on to explain how, in the past year, her perspective has shifted, and she’s learned to really embrace those “moments of solitude.”
“However, over the past year, I deliberately shifted my perspective and embraced moments of solitude. I realized that being alone wasn’t a punishment but rather an opportunity to recharge. Through conscious effort, I transformed these moments into a crucial aspect of maintaining my well-being. This shift allowed me to recognize the value of solitude in refreshing my mind and spirit,” her caption continued.
“Now, when I am in the presence of my loved ones, I can fully be present with them, knowing that I have taken the time to rejuvenate myself,” she concluded.
Many of the “Sister, Sister” star’s followers could relate and shared their thoughts on being alone and shifting their perspectives.
“Solitude is the life’s battery pack. We need it more than we realize,” one follower wrote. Another added, “This is me when I’m home alone. It’s a beautiful feeling.”
Another follower wrote about self-care saying, “Yesssss that is when you know growth has come and changed you for the new journey that involves taking care of you first. Such a beautiful revelation.”
Many people just loved seeing Mowry so happy and free after a rough chapter in her life.
“Love it for you! And such a good song. You are flourishing and we love to see it Tia,” another person wrote. Another fan shared, “The power of a shift in perspective.”
Tia Mowry Recently Shared Her Deep Thoughts On Motherhood
Just before the holidays, Mowry shared her thoughts on motherhood and the “sacrifices that come with it” in a social media post. A carousel of throwback photos of her pregnant belly and her children as babies illustrates the power behind her caption.
“Lately, I’ve been thinking about motherhood, particularly reflecting on the sacrifices that come with it. From enduring physical pains during pregnancy to navigating the fatigue and restless nights, the challenges only intensified with postpartum symptoms and the issues that surfaced as a new mother. Despite these struggles, I can’t help but feel profoundly blessed by the presence of my beautiful children and the countless precious memories we’ve created together,” she wrote.
“In navigating the hardships, I’ve discovered a profound source of healing for my own inner child through my role as a mother,” she continued. “It’s empowering to recognize that by raising my children, I am actively breaking generational curses. Witnessing the growth of kind and empathetic individuals under my guidance makes every sacrifice worthwhile.”
The actress and mom concluded her caption by saying that “motherhood unfold uniquely for each person” and how she’s proud of everyone and their “unique journeys” that come with the “intricate tapestry of motherhood.”
