The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson) decided to share some fantastic family updates on Instagram. It turns out Egan is pregnant with her second child, so she showed off her baby bump in an adorable new pic.
Egan is already a mom to Caden, the young son she shares with Matt Katrosar.
Now Egan and her husband are eagerly awaiting their next family addition, so let’s see what she had to say in her caption.
“Looks like we’re just destined to have August babies!” Melissa Egan announced. “So grateful and excited to be adding another cub to our family of Leo baby boys…Caden’s gonna be a big brother!”
That means Egan’s due date will once again be in August, so that gives us an idea of when her maternity leave from the show will begin.
It’s just something to keep in mind as we think about Chelsea’s future and what might be in store for her.
Of course, the most important thing is for Egan to celebrate adding to her brood and hopefully have safe, easy delivery when the time comes.
Egan is clearly glowing with excitement – and her costars are certainly excited, too.
Lauralee Bell (Christine Williams) gushed over what amazing news this was in the comments.
Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman-Abbott) also chimed in with nothing but “Love love love!!!”
Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra) apparently already congratulated Egan at work, but she wanted to offer a supportive comment. “So happy for you!! Congrats again,” Hope said.
Greg Rikaart’s (Kevin Fisher) comment was perhaps the funniest of all since he cracked a joke about wanting to make this baby announcement himself.
“I really wanted to be the one to break the news but HUGELY excited for you all regardless,” Rikaart said before adding a crying with laughter emoji along with a string of hearts.
Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe Mitchell), Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren Baldwin), Christel Khalil (Lily Winters), Susan Walters (Diane Jenkins) and even former costar Jordi Vilasuso (ex-Rey Rosales) all had some sweet words for Egan following her post.
Melissa Claire Egan is no doubt feeling the love from Y&R fans as well since so many people are congratulating her.
We wish her the best of luck on the remainder of her pregnancy and look forward to seeing pics of her new little one down the road!
