Are you one of those moms who feel guilty about taking time off from mothering and keeping house? Celebrity vlogger and TV host Joyce Pring is done with it, and is even kicking the guilt trip just in time before she gives birth to her second child.
On Instagram, Pring announced that she and husband Juancho Trivino came up with “Mama Day” — a day devoted to her own well-being, pampering and basically doing things she enjoys the most that do not involve him, or their son, Eliam.
She posted snippets of how her “me time” went, such as doing Pilates, having spa time, and meeting with her friends.
“After I gave birth to Eliam, I quickly realized how my entire being could be easily swallowed up by motherhood and how overwhelming it all can be — I pretty much lost all sense of self, social life, and, well, sanity,” she said.
Since she’s “always either mothering or working,” she considers this as a “genius plan that I’ve only ever been able to do a handful of times because of the crippling mom guilt I get, but still, I think I’m getting better at it.”
The pregnant celebrity mom was shown in the video doing light Pilates exercises and a having lash extensions “for the first time ever since 2012.”
“I got lash extensions when it wasn’t super popular then but quickly regretted it because it irritated my eyes. My sister explained to me the technology is much better now so I tried it and now, honestly, I think IM IN LOVE!!!” she said.
She also got her hair done, had it trimmed and took a pregnancy-safe essential oil treatment. She also spent hours just sitting in salad stop and catching up with her “beshies” (best friends).
She also narrated that she had dinner at a nice Spanish place, hunted for some dessert (she had churros), though she also posted snaps of what looked like smoked salmon canapés topped with caviar.
“The only request Juancho had was that I come home around 11pm. Im not sure why, but I did, and it felt good. I think he knows me well enough to have predicted that if I had come home any later, I would’ve probably been cranky, injured, or both,” she related.
In January, the Triviños revealed that their second child is going to be a girl through an intimate gender reveal party with their loved ones. EDV
