Nick Cannon, who recently hinted that he’s expecting his ninth child, said that it’s “safe to bet” that he’ll be having another three kids before the end of the year.
As Entertainment Tonight reported, the 41-year-old TV host, radio DJ, and rapper suggested that he’s far from done when it comes to more kids. Cannon recently hinted that “the stork is on the way” in an appearance on Angela Yee’s Lip Service podcast, and Nischelle Turner straight-up asked her how many babies he’s expecting.
“That would take all the fun out of it if I just gave you a number right now,” said Cannon, who recently congratulated Elon Musk on the arrival of his tenth child. He then asked Turner how many children she expects him to have, and she pointed out that Abby De La Rosa, who he had twins with in the past, is currently pregnant. She suggested that it’s probably around three, and Cannon replied, “You would be close. … You would be safe to bet on three [more children] in 2022.”
Cannon has had a total of eight children with five different women, although his son Zen died of brain cancer at just five months old. De La Rosa hasn’t revealed who’s the father of her upcoming child, but it seems highly likely that it’s Cannon. During his chat on Lip Service, he appeared to confirm that he and De La Rosa are expecting to welcome another child sometime around October.
Shortly after the death of his son, Cannon revealed that he planned to be celibate at least for a while. However, he admitted early on in 2022 that he “didn’t even make it to January.”
“I was supposed to go to the top of the year, but then I just started going through some stuff, you know? I got depressed,” he explained. “Everybody saw I was so down, so everybody’s like, ‘Let me just give him a little vagina,’” laughed Cannon. “And I fell victim to it because I was in a weak state, so December especially right before Christmas I started fucking like crazy. So I broke the celibacy, but I was probably celibate for like a month and a half strong.”
