My babies are twins but born months apart -people don’t understand how it’s possible, but it makes perfect sense to us

A WOMAN has revealed that her babies are twins, despite being born months apart.

The mum, known only as @marriedwithminis online, shared the revelation via a video posted to her TikTok channel.

In the video, she revealed that three months after she gave birth, she became pregnant again.

This means that her two children were born just 12 months apart.

Babies born 12 months apart or less are known are Irish twins, meaning that the mum’s two children are technically twins.

The term Irish twins was initially used as a derogatory term aimed at Irish-Catholics who emigrated to America.

As Catholics do not believe in contraception, Irish families were often large, with children born close together in age.

In the video, the mum can be seen holding a pregnancy test and laughing hysterically, obviously in shock that she is pregnant again.

“Which one of us is going to tell your father?”, she joked, directing the question at her new born.

Despite the obvious struggles that raising two babies at the same time must have brought to the mother, she appears to have taken it in her stride, and the family seems very content.

The mum shared clips of her two children playing together, and said that they are now “best friends” and are always so excited to see each other.

The mum’s video, has likely struck a chord with many people, as it has racked up over 6.4 million views on the video sharing platform.

TikTok users raced to the comments section of the video in their thousands to share their thoughts, with some left confused.

One person said: “I genuinely do not understand this.”

Another person said: “Don’t you have to wait for 3 months to be fully healed?”

A third said: “I don’t know how that happens to some people, I am still not properly healed after 3 months”.

A fourth said: “Dang did you get to know this baby first?”

A fifth chimed in: “My mum did it with my brother.

“I was four months old when she got pregnant. Then she said never again!”
