Kourtney Kardashian says she is in no rush to “bounce back” after giving birth to her fourth child this past November.
“My priority is not bouncing back and getting my body back in shape like it has been in the past,” the reality star, 45, said on Thursday’s episode of “The Kardashians.”
The Poosh founder welcomed a son, Rocky Thirteen, with her husband, musician Travis Barker, in November. She also shares three children, Mason, Penelope and Reign, with her ex-partner Scott Disick.
“I remember after having [my first child] Mason, it used to be a really big thing to talk about, ‘How soon can you bounce back?’ and everyone would do magazine covers,” Kardashian recalled on her family’s reality show this week. “I did a magazine cover in a bikini and [was] stressing myself out to eat a certain diet.”
Kardashian said that this time around, she’s “really all about nourishing my body and eating the best foods to keep up my milk supply.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Kardashian opened up about her choice to stay home for 40 days straight after Rocky’s birth.
“In many different cultures, women don’t leave the house after having a baby for 40 days to let your body have that time to heal,” she said. “And beyond that, I’m really into attachment parenting. I really don’t separate from him. I love being at home right now.”
“My time is dedicated to taking care of my baby and bonding with him,” she added. (Last month, in fact, she said Rocky had never been in his crib because she holds him every time he naps.)
The mother of four gushed about falling in love with her “thicker” body in 2022 after eight months of IVF treatment took “a toll” on her due to “all of the hormones.” She eventually stopped the treatments before getting pregnant with Rocky.
“Eight months of IVF treatment has definitely taken a toll on my body mentally and physically. I think it’s taken me a lot to get me to the place of feeling really comfortable and happy with the changes,” she said at the time during an episode of “The Kardashians.”
The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” alum credited Barker for helping her “embrace” her new look.
“Having a partner who is so supportive of me and always complimenting me, no matter what, it’s just helped me to really embrace the changes and actually to the point where I love the changes now,” she said of the Blink-182 drummer. “I’m so into my thicker body.”
