KIM Mathers has a mystery injury on her face new photos reveal after her ex Eminem briefly featured her on his latest album.
The 49-year-old, who is now on good terms with the star, stepped out in Michigan with a noticeable mark on her left cheek.
Exclusive photographs obtained by The U.S. Sun show Kim wearing a bandaid over the small injury above a bruise along her jawline.
She opted for a white and blue bandana wrapped around her head and wore her blonde dyed hair spiked after debuting her new rockstar look last year.
The rapper’s ex-wife put a cigarette in her mouth as she snuck in a smoke break while walking across a parking lot to her local bank.
Heavily-tattooed Kim wore a black vest top and gray sweat pants with black sneakers
She accessorized her look with sunglasses, many bracelets, and a pink leather watch.
The mom of four also carried a large set of keys on a lanyard with the words Good Vibes printed on it, along with a small purple pouch and her cell phone.
She seemed in good spirits as she went about her business.
Her outing comes as her ex used an old family recording featuring her voice on his new album, The Death of Slim Shady(Coup De Grace), in which he cancels his famous alter ego.
NEW ALBUM
The track Temporary lists Kim’s voice online in a post-chorus with their daughter Hailie Jade, now 29.
Lyrics for the song read, “Daddy (Ooh) What? (Ooh) When, I used to have this when I was a little kid (Ooh) Baby, are you okay? (Ooh).”
Eminem rarely mentioned his ex in his songs years after she sued him for defamation over the violent lyrics in his song Kim, which she claimed resulted in a suicide attempt.
He later apologized to his former spouse on the track Bad Husband from his 2017 album Revival.
The star rapped, “We brought out the worst in each other/
Someone had to make the sparring end/ ‘Cause I loved you, but I hated that me/ And I don’t wanna see that side again / But I’m sorry, Kim/ More than you could ever comprehend.”
Kim and Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers, married in 1999 and divorced two years later.
They remarried in January 2006 but had broken up again by April of that year.
The two are now said to be on good terms after years of ups and downs and reunited at their daughter Hailie’s wedding in Detroit.
Eminem walked his daughter down the aisle as she tied the knot with Evan McClintock, with professional snaps showing a touching father-and-daughter dance.
Although photographs of her with Kim were not shared, she could be seen seated away from her ex in a group photograph on social media.
As well as Hailie, Kim has an adopted daughter Alaina, 31, whose mother Dawn, her sister, died of an overdose in 2016 after years of battling with addiction issues.
She is also mom to Stevie Laine, 22, who identifies as non-binary, from a previous relationship, along with a teenage son, Parker, who she was pictured with last year.
Eminem adopted both Aliana and Stevie and raised them from when they were young, according to reports.
The U.S. Sun spoke to Kim in 2023 following her mental health crisis a year earlier while she was grieving her mom Kathy Sluck’s death.
She revealed she spent time in a treatment facility after taking pills to try and help her sleep at night.
When asked how she was coping, she told The U.S. Sun, “It’s been hard, I lost my mom, my dad, and my sister.”
Her three family members died in a tragic string of loss over the past 10 years.
But even so, she added: “I’m good. I’ve been clean since about October, I went to Jefferson House … for 45 days.”
Kim Mather’s turbulent past
Eminem’s ex hasn’t had an easy ride over the years but is now thriving having spent time in rehab and rebuilding her relationship with the star. Here’s a look back at her rollercoaster life.
Teen runaway
At just 13, Kim reportedly ran away from an abusive home and was taken in by Marshall’s mum, Debbie Nelson, who described her as a “tall, sulky blonde girl” in her memoir.
“[She said she] had no idea who their real father was, and claimed to have been sexually abused by her stepfather,” Debbie wrote.
Pregnant at 21
Kim and Marshall fell in love and she gave birth to Hailie Jade on Christmas Day 1995.
They moved back to the trailer but Eminem claimed it was impossible to live there because of Debbie’s drug habit and they were in and out of her home.
“My mother did a lot of dope and s***, a lot of pills — so she had mood swings,” he told Rolling Stone.
First marriage
The pair had a volatile relationship and often split up but ended up tying the knot on June 14, 1999.
They split after just a year, finalizing their divorce in 2001, and Kim sued over abusive lyrics about her in his songs which she claimed caused her to attempt suicide.
The pair settled for an undisclosed sum and agreed on a custody arrangement for Hailie.
Second marriage
Kim had another child, Stevie Laine, but the couple couldn’t stay apart.
Marshall ended up adopting Stevie and Kim’s niece Alaina as her mom Dawn was struggling with addiction.
The pair got married again in 2006, but Kim was reluctant to go through with it and after 45 days Marshall left.
Kim went on to have a son, Parker, although little is known about his father.
2015 car crash
The mom-of-four struggled with depression and addiction and in October 2015 drove her Cadillac Escalade into a telephone pole.
She later apologized and admitted she had tried to take her own life.
“I sat at the end of a road where I knew that no one else but myself would get hurt,” she told US radio station 95.5 WKQI.
Sister’s death
Just months after the crash, in January 2016, Kim’s twin sister Dawn Scott was found dead from a heroin overdose in a trailer park.
She had been homeless for two years and Kim had been caring for her daughter Alaina full-time.
Kim said Marshall had been “very supportive,” explaining, “We are very close friends; we are just trying to raise our kids together and make it as normal for them as possible.”
2017 apology
The rapper apologized for the way he treated Kim in his 2017 song, Bad Husband, and the pair’s relationship grew stronger.
He rapped: “We might have loved each other too much/ And maybe that’s what made us do what we did to each other/ All the screw-ups.”
Mom’s death & suicide attempt
Kim was left devastated when her mom Kathy Sluck, 65, died on July 23, 2021, after her health deteriorated.
Just days after her mom’s funeral Kim again tried to take her own life, but was saved by one of her children who phoned 911 after finding her surrounded by pills in the bathroom.
Rehab and weddings
She underwent treatment and has since been doing much better, while Marshall has continued to support her.
In the past two years, she has celebrated the weddings of both Hailie and Alaina and told The U.S. Sun she is very close to her children.
Kim added that her children had been “very supportive” and she was on medication, but declined to talk further about her health.
Following her mom’s death, she wrote a message underneath an online obituary that read, “You’re all I had left Momma.”
She added, “I can’t imagine this without you! I love you Momma!!! Kiss my dad and sister for me.”
She also revealed she is in contact with her childhood sweetheart, now 51.
Asked how often they see each other, she quipped, “Not often, but often enough!”
