A YOUNG, single mother, has revealed the common assumptions that people often make about her.
First time mum Abby Williams, 22, who was previously attacked by trolls for her son’s name, Bambi Blue Williams, has now shared the ‘annoying’ things that people think about her.
Abby, who fell pregnant at the age of 20, whilst she was in her second year of university, claimed that people always assume that she doesn’t know who her son’s father is, and also presume that she doesn’t breastfeed.
Posting on social media, the young mother shared: “Everyone assumes all of these, it’s so annoying!”
As Abby shared some adorable pictures of her and her son, she added: “Things we need to stop assuming about young mums.”
First of all, Abby claimed that people will often assume: “We don’t know who the dad is.”
As well as this, the young mother shared that trolls will often believe: “We bin our children off to grandparents every weekend to go out.”
Not only this, but Abby also added that as a result of her being a young mother, people will assume: “Having a baby has ruined our lives.”
But Abby is a strong, independent woman, and wants people to stop assuming: “We don’t pay for anything ourselves.”
Abby has previously revealed on social media, that she still lives at home with her family, but as a result of her influencer videos on TikTok, she is able to save all of the money she earns to support herself and her son, whilst saving to move out.
Similarly to this, Abby also finds it irritating when people think: “We let everyone else around us raise our children.”
Finally, the proud single mum, claimed that people will assume: “We don’t breastfeed.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @abbywilliams.444, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up over 5,000 views.
Many other young mothers could relate to Abby and were eager to express this in the comments.
One person said: “Omg the breastfeeding one is sooo true.”
Another added: “I hate when people look me up and down and say you have three kids like I’m not old enough. I’m like ‘yes I am 30’.”
A third commented: “17 with a four-month-old and even doctors are shocked when I say he’s breastfed.”
Not only this, but someone else expressed: “At my first midwife appointment, the midwife point blank said “I’m assuming you don’t know the dad or anything about him”.”
Name pain
But this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Abby – previously, the 22-year-old responded to trolls that criticised her son’s name.
Posting online, Abby responded to a comment from a mean troll that read ‘I mean, he’s 100% going to have a miserable life in school because of his name.”
To this, the proud mother clapped back and said: “It honestly baffles me that so many people are so bothered about my child’s name and how they think it’s going to affect him so much in the future.
“I don’t know if people are realising, but uncommon names are actually becoming very popular.
“By the time he is in school, every kid is going to have a different name.
“It’s not going to be like how it was when I was in school, when there were like 10 kids with the same name.
“I think that if a child were to bully another child, it says more about their parents, than it does about how my child is being raised and how he’s going to be.”

Abby then slammed the comment as ‘disgusting’, but revealed that she won’t let them get her down.
She continued: “And to say that my one-year-old is going to have a miserable life, I mean, that’s just disgusting isn’t it?
“I never usually address these comments, because I literally get them every day.
“I’m so over it by this point. But why on earth do people like this still exist?”
Abby later wrote: “The times are changing, people need to get used to it!!
“He’s got a mama that loves him and he’s a very happy boy.”
