A SELF-PROCLAIMED “poor AF” single dad has shared how he feeds his family for just £2.08.
The father from London, who claimed to be ‘struggling’ as a result of the cost of living crisis, revealed how he feeds his kids without having to break the bank.

Posting on social media, the content creator shared how he turns two tins from Asda into a meal for three – but people have been left open-mouthed.
The dad shared his clip online with the caption ‘Feeding my children on a low budget.’
He then said: “Feeding my kids on a £2.08 budget as a poor af single father.”
At the start of the clip, the father revealed that he had just £2.08 to spend, as he gave his followers a close-up look at his pennies and 5p coins.
The father then headed to Asda to get his groceries – where he bagged a tin of minced beef and onion and a tin of potatoes, which were just 38p, both of which are the chain’s Just Essentials range.
Upon arriving home, the father got cooking the family’s dinner.
He added the tinned mince to a saucepan, which he seasoned with salt, and then added a generous knob of butter.
He then cooked the tinned potatoes in the microwave and once done, gave them a quick mash with a fork.
The father dished up the quick and easy meal – a portion of mash and mince, and added a piece of white bread.
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @tok_savings, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly gone viral and has since amassed 1.2 million views in just one week.
BIG DIVIDE
But social media users were left divided – whilst some praised his budget meal, others were horrified at the dish.
One person said: “Love these ideas! I’m a student nurse so it’s hard to budget sometimes, thank you for sharing.”
Another added: “You’re doing great.”
A third commented: “Master chef on a budget. You sir, you’re a chef at heart.”

However, at the same time, not everyone was as kind.
One user claimed: “I would rather starve than eat that.”
A second wrote: “Wouldn’t feed that to my dog.”
Whilst someone else penned: “Disgrace.”

Meanwhile, others were eager to advise the man to clean his home.
