THE VALLEY star Kristen Doute will raise her newborn daughter Kaia ‘differently’ than her cast mates, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.
While other The Valley and Vanderpump Rules co-stars raise their children front and center in the public eye, the newest Bravo mama is going to be taking a more private approach.
On June 11, Kristen, 42, welcomed her first child with fiancé Luke Broderick, 34.
“Kaia Lily Broderick, we’ve never known a love like this until you,” she captioned the Instagram post that announced her baby girl’s arrival.
Kaia’s name, which is Hawaiian for “the sea,” was picked as a nod to the couple’s affinity for the state, which is also where they got engaged.
According to a source close to the growing family, Kristen is “loving” motherhood” and is already “the best mom.”
“Kristen and the baby are both doing great. They’ve been staying home and enjoying lounging in their backyard and at home together.
“She’s taking every second in and is being really present with every moment right now.
“But she’s determined to raise Kaia different than her Vanderpump Rules and Valley costars.
“She’s not showing the baby’s face publicly, at least for now. Eventually fans will see but she’s taking her sweet time with her sweet girl right now.”
Giving more insight on Kristen’s privacy concerns for her newborn, the source added: “She won’t be making a social media account for her like Lala and Scheana and Brittany have for their kids.
“She is going to be much more private. She thinks they’re all great mom’s but their parenting is not her style.
“At the same time, she knows she has a job to do, so the baby will be featured in season 3 of The Valley; the season is going to focus on her being a mom.
“But they will do everything they can to protect her identity as much as possible.”
Fellow Bravo stars Scheana Shay, Lala Kent and Brittany Cartwright have all heavily featured their children on the TV series and are seen regularly taking their tots to Hollywood events.
The reality mom’s have even set up social media accounts for the kiddos – with Scheana’s daughter, Summer Moon‘s, Instagram page becoming a plot line on Vanderpump Rules during Scandoval when it was discovered Tom Sandoval “unfollowed” the toddler.
The source added that it’s important for Luke, who has resided on a ranch in Colorado in recent years, to have their daughter be the “least Hollywood” as possible.
“Luke has really grounded Kristen and changed her whole perspective on parenting for the better. They’re a really great team.
“They’ll outlast all the other Bravo couples, just you watch.”
HEARTBREAKING ROAD
The couple announced their pregnancy in November 2024 following a heartbreaking miscarriage.
“After our pregnancy loss last year, we decided to start trying in early 2024,” Kristen said when announcing the big news.
“I knew my age could be a factor in conceiving, so Luke and I discussed going for an extra push, a little help.
“In late summer, we decided to meet with a fertility specialist to learn about our options and what could be the next step if we decided to go that route,” the reality star added.

She continued: “The next month was a whirlwind — getting educated on fertility, and eventually hormone shots and preparing my body for IUI (intrauterine insemination).
“To get a correct outcome on a pregnancy test, 2 weeks time had to pass and I had to wait it out but in my heart I knew it had worked.
“I tested one day early and got the big PREGNANT result staring back at me.”
She admitted once she got the exciting plus sign, she felt “relieved, overwhelmed, happy, excited and nervous.”
“The second I told Luke, he wasn’t surprised, but was SO happy that IUI worked the first time (we were prepared that it may not).
“He was joyful and beyond excited, to say the least! Our due date is in June and we are really looking forward to expanding our little family and becoming parents,” Kristen expressed.
