AN influencer has been slammed for humiliating an flight attendant.
Fitness fanatic Tatiana Girardi posted a sneaky snap of the cabin crewman to her social media story earlier this month.
And she wrote to her 2m Instagram followers: “There are limp noodles around here.
“Take note: I asked this guy, ‘Can you help me lift the suitcase?’
“And he goes, ‘Between the two of us…’
“I felt so sorry for this weakling.
I told him, ‘Relax, I can do it myself!’”
Tatiana was on an Avianca flight at the time.
And quick to hit back at her comments, some of her Colombian followers pointed out that flight attendants aren’t porters.
Sebastián wrote: “Respect the work of the cabin crew and learn to handle your belongings because nobody here is your bellboy.
“Our job is to ensure the safety of passengers in flight, and in the worst-case scenario evacuate a plane in 90 seconds and try to ensure all passengers come out safe and sound.
“And yes, that includes people like you who think our job is to serve coffee and lift luggage.”
Mum Tatiana charges £12 per month for access to her modelling content.
She describes herself as an Ironman 70.3 athlete in her Instagram bio and prides herself on her physical strength.
Lina remarked: “I am a flight attendant and I have had the opportunity to see passengers with physical limitations, pregnant women, and elderly adults lift their own luggage.
“Now this young ‘athlete’ can’t.”
And Wendy added: “Who else are you going to try to mock? A nurse? A firefighter?
“Because they don’t carry your suitcases either!
“I hope Avianca defends its staff and puts you on a blacklist.”
Can you ask for help with your bags on flight?
According to the Association of Flight Attendants there are strict rules about what cabin crew can and cannot do:
Flight attendants are:
- NOT responsible for lifting and helping passengers stow your bags in the overhead
- However, they are encouraged to make exceptions for disabled and elderly passengers who need and have booked ‘special assistance’ through their airline.
