A HARRY Potter star has been congratulated by her movie castmates after revealing her second pregnancy.
The actress posted a sweet snap on Instagram showing her eldest placing their tender hands on her growing tummy as a super-sweet maternity announcement.
Afshan Azad-Kazi, 36, is best-known for playing Padma Patil in the hit films, based on the books by JK Rowling.
The Manchester-born star told how her second pregnancy had left her feeling “like absolute death” – yet she was finally recovering well.
Alongside a smiling selfie taken inside her home, she confessed: “Months and months of feeling like absolute death, I’m finally feeling human again.
“Thank you for all your love on my recent news.
“Alhamdulillah for all of Allah’s blessings.”
Afshan, who dubs herself “that Indian girl who was in Harry Potter” made her reveal with a sweet snap alongside her daughter.
The screen star, who welcomed her tot Kyra back in July 2021, wore an all-cream outfit which highlighted her baby bump.
Her little girl held her lower tummy with Afshan writing in the caption: “An extra special Mother’s Day this year to celebrate our growing family.
“Keep me and my family in your prayers.”
Her former co-star Evanna Lynch was quick to post: “Aww congrats Afshan!” followed by a love heart Emoji.
Scarlett Hefner, who played Slytherin student Pansy Parkinson, then simply posted a white love heart Emoji.
Afshan, who played Ravenclaw student Padma in five of the wizarding films, announced her first pregnancy in April 2021.
Afshan is married to husband Nabil Kazi and now works as a beauty influencer.
The couple wed in an extravagant ceremony in 2018.
She landed the role of Padma, whose twin sister was Parvati, when casting agents visited her school and she auditioned “just for fun”.
Previously, she told the Deccan Chronicle of the longevity of the Harry Potter franchise and appreciation for her role.
She said: “It’s such an honour for people to still appreciate and recognise me as Padma.
“Being a part of something so magical and successful has been the biggest blessing in my life.
“Harry Potter fans are the best fans; they’re so loyal and always supportive of everything we do.”
Back in 2017, she guest hosted an episode of CBBC show Marrying Mum & Dad.
Talking of her time away from the spotlight, she added to the same publication: “For the past few years, I have been spending time with my family and friends.
“I’ve been travelling; eating a lot of food and generally loving life back at home in Manchester.”
