General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Briana Lane is set to return as Brook Lynn Quartermaine (currently played by Amanda Setton), so this temporary recast will step back in. Lane took over the role in 2020 while Setton was on maternity leave, but her stint will be a much shorter one this time around.
In fact, Lane will only be popping up for one episode, but it’ll still be nice to see a familiar face.
It turns out Lane went on a pretty wild ride after she got a call asking her to reprise the role of Brook Lynn Quartermaine.
Lane received that call on a Monday and was already back in the studio a couple days later.
According to a new interview with SOD, Lane was a little rusty and decided to give herself a refresher on how she used to play the character.
That meant diving into some old episodes to pick up on Lane’s mannerisms as Brook Lynn and nail down her overall vibe.
However, Lane also checked out some of Setton’s recent episodes to get a feel for how the character changed in her absence.
In other words, Lane had a lot of homework to do in a short amount of time!
Although Lane was nervous when she got back on set, she was quickly put at ease by comforting coworkers like Josh Swickard (Harrison Chase).
GH Executive Producer Frank Valentini also gave Lane a warm welcome home and made it easy to get the hang of Brook Lynn once more.
Lane was a fantastic and memorable temp recast during her previous run, so we have no doubt her one-episode popup will be just as impressive.
Look for Briana Lane to slide back in Brook Lynn’s shoes during the week of October 3-7.
Chase has a big performance coming up at The Savoy, so Brook Lynn will be on hand to hover and handle any crisis that comes along.
General Hospital spoilers say Briana Lane could end up playing some surprising drama if Chase’s performance doesn’t go according to plan!
