Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that many fans were disappointed when Linsey Godfrey (Sarah Horton) was abruptly written out – especially considering the bomb that was dropped on Sarah ahead of her exit.
Sarah found out she was pregnant with Xander Cook’s (Paul Telfer) baby, but she ultimately decided to keep that news under wraps and take the job Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) arranged for her in Chicago.
Since Sarah was adamant about divorcing Xander, she needed some time to process this pregnancy shocker and figure out her next move.
Of course, that means Sarah’s baby bump has been growing offscreen, so this was actually a pretty good exit from a writing standpoint.
It’s a great way to set the stage for Daddy Xander’s stunning revelation down the road.
Although most of us assumed Sarah would be back due to this pregnancy and the loose end that was left dangling, we now have confirmation through a leaked behind-the-scenes pic.
Linsey Godfrey was on set filming when Days had a small celebration for Deidre Hall’s (Marlena Evans) 5,000th episode.
Godfrey was standing near Telfer in the photo as you might expect since these two are popular Days scene partners – and they’ll soon portray co-parents as well.
This could naturally lead to Xander and Sarah’s romantic reunion when the time is right, so this baby could be the best thing that’s ever happened for “Xarah.”
However, DOOL’s bound to deliver some twists and turns along the way, especially if there’s paternity deception or Xander’s just hurt that Sarah’s kept quiet for so long.
Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) also seems to be gearing up for a hot Days romance with Xander, but Sarah’s return could lead to the end of that relationship and steal his attention once again.
Bottom line, it’s nice to know Sarah’s comeback is in the works since it’ll lead to some exciting story opportunities and hopefully some family bliss for Xander.
