A MUM-OF-13 has hit back at cruel trolls explaining how she was able to spend a whopping £5.5k on Christmas.
38-year-old Veronica Merritt, better known to her fans on TikTok as This Mad Mama, spilled the beans on how she makes money whilst being a mum to 13 kids.
According to Veronica, who first fell pregnant at the age of 14, she is currently self-employed and rakes in by relying on social media, where she has several platforms.
Hitting back at the trolls who reckoned she was ”unemployed”, Veronica said: ”I make money on TikTok, I make money selling paintings and I make money on YouTube.”
At some point, the mum-of-13, who’s been slammed for having so many children, even had her very own shop – but this had to be shut, as it was allegedly costing her more than she was actually making.
”I also do affiliate links,” she said, adding that currently fans could buy ”some really cool pants” for which she’ll get ”a couple of cents”.
In total, the 38-year-old, from the USA, claimed to make a little over £2.5k from TikTok, whilst YouTube is bringing her £155.
”Now, if I happen to sell any paintings, that’s another maybe $200 [£155], maybe $400 [£315].”
However, as she went on to add in the video, this can change every month on a number of factors.
”So my income fluctuates, and it depends heavily on how motivated I am, or how energetic, or whether or not I’m sick, or if the kids get sick – or if I just get super busy.”
Veronica, who insisted she was ”not rich”, spent £5.5k on Christmas – but this was possible because of ”credit cards and loans”.
”It’s gonna take me a few months to pay it off.
”But I anticipate that I’ll have it paid off within just a few months.”
Amazed by the hard work ethic, dozens raised to comments to praise the super mum.
”That is awesome that you are doing so well making content on here!” one said.
Another chimed in: ”It’s also called BUDGETING.”
”I love watching your stuff! So interesting and you’re a great mom!” a third penned.
Someone else advised: ”You should do brand deals.”
Recently, the mum revealed that one of her tots was battling with cancer, as she went to set up a GoFundMe page.
“Poverty… everyone keeps saying that. Everything I have I give to my kids, this is not poverty.
“You hate that I made a gofund.me but people asked me to, so they could help make sure the kids didn’t suffer while my toddler battles cancer.
“You have no idea what I’ve gone through trying to make a beautiful life for these kids, but I can’t control every variable.
“There’s not an ounce of me that regrets any of my babies, I love them all dearly.”
