LIST: SB19, Ben&Ben lead winners at Awit Awards 2022

MANILA, Philippines – Filipino groups SB19 and Ben&Ben emerged as the top winners in the Awit Awards 2022 on Wednesday, November 23, at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Pasay. 

P-pop powerhouse SB19 was the most awarded act, receiving seven wins, including Best Performance by a Group Recording Artist, Most Streamed Artist, and Best Pop Recording for “Bazinga.” 

They were followed by indie folk-pop band Ben&Ben, who bagged five awards, including as Album of the Year for their 2021 release Pebble House, Vol 1: Kuwaderno. 

Meanwhile, Zack Tabudlo won Song of the Year for “Binibini” while Leanne & Naara’s “Anticipation” was named Record of the Year. 

Other winners include KZ Tandingan, Noel Mendez, Zild, and Belle Mariano. 

The ceremony, which was live streamed through MYX Global’s YouTube channel, was hosted by MYX VJs Edward Barber and Samm Alvero. It featured performances from Paolo Sandejas, Sam Concepcion, Maymay Entrata, Janine Berdin, band Lola Amour, P-pop group ALAMAT, and more.
