Creed have announced a 25th anniversary expanded reissue of their seminal diamond-certified 1999 album Human Clay via Craft Recordings.
The newly remastered reissue is set to arrive on August 16th on 2-LP vinyl and CD amidst the band’s highly anticipated reunion tour (get tickets here).
The 2-CD package will include the original tracklist — including the smash hits “Higher” and “With Arms Wide Open” — along with rarities, B-sides, and a previously unreleased concert recording from San Antonio, Texas, in 1999. The bonus material is highlighted by an alternate version of “Higher,” an acoustic rendition of “With Arms Wide Open,” and a cover of The Doors’ classic “Roadhouse Blues” featuring Robby Krieger recorded live at Woodstock ’99.
Craft Recordings previously reissued Human Clay on 2-LP vinyl back in 2022, but copies are already getting scarce. This reissue campaign will see the first colored variants of the album, however, with specific retailers selling each colorway: Gray Smoke (available wide), Black & Grey Splatter (the official Creed store), Orange Smoke (Walmart), Red Smoke (Barnes & Noble), Gray Opaque (Revolver), and Black & Gold Marble (Spotify Fans First). The vinyl pressing will only feature the original 11-song tracklist.
“Twenty-five years ago, we could have never guessed we’d be celebrating Human Clay’s lasting impact while embarking on a whole new chapter together in 2024,” remarked singer Scott Stapp in a press release. “Then and now, it’s the fans who’ve embraced these songs and found a deeper connection to them as they’ve progressed in their lives. Now, we’re reconnecting with these songs like it’s the first time and seeing the impact on a whole new generation.”
