Stereolab have announced a massive 2025 world tour taking place throughout the summer and fall. They’ve also confirmed special reissues of seven of their albums, including Transient Random Noise-Burts With Announcements, Mars Audiac Quintet, Emperor Tomato Ketchup, Dots And Loops, Cobra and Phases Group Play Voltage in the Milky Night Sound-Dust, and Margerine Eclipse.
The band’s 2025 tour will first begin in Europe from May to June, followed by a lengthy North American run in September, October, and November. They’ll close out their run with a handful of shows in England and Scotland in December. Supporting acts for the global trek will be announced at a later date. The tour also coincides with the English-French group’s 35th anniversary, having officially formed in 1990.
The North American leg of Stereolab’s 2025 tour will begin on September 13th in Nashville, and will continue with shows in cities like Atlanta, Miami, New Orleans, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Montreal, Toronto, Cleveland, Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin, Houston, and many more. After a November 2nd date in Dallas, the band’s North American tour will conclude with a November 12th show in Mexico City. See their full list of tour dates below.
Tickets for Stereolab’s 2025 North American tour will first be available for select dates via a Live Nation pre-sale kicking off on Thursday, February 27th at 10:00 a.m. local time (use code DUET). Tickets go on-sale for the general public on Friday, February 28th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
In addition to the tour, Stereolab are rolling out several vinyl reissues of their classic albums beginning on Friday, February 28th. The reissues will arrive as double-disk editions with reconfigured artwork, with some featuring 2019 Calyx remasters. The band is also committed to maintaining a low price point for the issues in an effort to help fans and shops currently experiencing economic hardships.
The massive reissuing is being paired with a special Spotify playlist, which contains Stereolab’s complete discography in chronological release order and totaling over 26 hours of material. Fans can pick up the reissue collection on Stereolab’s official web shop, along with seven special t-shirts corresponding with each reissued album.
Stereolab shared a message to their fans with the announcement; read the full statement below.
“Dear friends,
We have a full agenda today. The information is dense, so please read carefully and ask if anything is unclear. I’ll be brief with the words and get straight to the points of discussion: We [Stereolab and myself] are heading back out onto the road. New keyboards and guitars have been purchased and will be put to use on the following dates. Unless stated, all tickets will be on sale tomorrow [28th February 2025] at 10am local time. All support acts are TBC. You can expect a full announcement in the future.”
Stereolab haven’t toured the US since 2022, which was their first run of shows in the region since their reunion trek in 2019. Meanwhile, frontwoman Lætitia Sadier revealed her fifth solo album, Rooting for Love, in February 2024; the album was one of our favorites of the month upon release, and single “Une Autre Attente” landed on our list of the best songs of the year.
