Although we’re still a few months off from peak “summertime sadness” season, Lana Del Rey is easing us back into her signature brand of melancholy with her latest release. Titled “Henry, come on,” the track arrives ahead of her next album, The Right Person Will Stay, which will be released on May 21st. Stream the new song below.
“Henry, come on” offers the first taste of the upcoming LP, one of our most anticipated releases of the year, which will reportedly see the vocalist leaning into country and southern gothic energy. She worked on the track with songwriter and producer Luke Laird, who is credited on music from the likes of Kacey Musgraves, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, and Little Big Town.
The simple cover art for the song is a portrait of the Grammy-nominated artist, glancing over her shoulder in the dreamy style reminiscent of the 1950s, an aesthetic present throughout many of her visuals.
