In 2018, Drake Bell walked down the aisle with his longtime girlfriend, Janet Von Schmeling.
Similar to the Drake & Josh alum, Janet is also an actress.
She has appeared in Painting Autumn, Just Jenna, and How to Survive High School.
On June 29, 2021, Drake revealed he and Janet had secretly married three years ago.
On Twitter, the actor announced, “In response to various rumors that are incorrect, I have been married for almost 3 years, and we are blessed to be the parents of a wonderful son.
“Thank you very much to all my fans around the world for your good wishes.”
The pair share a son, whose name has yet to be revealed.
Following their breakup, Janet and their son moved to Florida.
When did Drake and Janet separate?
On January 2, 2023, it was revealed Drake and Janet decided to separate.
At the time, the estranged couple had already separated months prior.
An insider shared with PEOPLE, “Drake and Janet are committed to maintaining a peaceful co-parenting relationship and giving their son the best life possible.
“Janet is devoted to raising their son. Drake needed to take time to get help and focus on his health.”
Another source elaborated to Page Six, “It’s a bad moment in time for Drake but he is a great dad when he is healthy and sober.
“They had some incredible beautiful times before. He needs to focus on being healthy, and they’ll be great co-parents in the future.”
Are they getting divorced?
In April 2023, it was announced that Janet had filed for divorce from Drake.
According to TMZ, Janet cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their divorce and is “seeking primary legal and physical custody of their kid.”
The news comes only a little over a week after Drake was reported missing on Wednesday, April 12.
He was found unharmed in Orange County at around 11:30 am the following day, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to The U.S. Sun.
