Watch Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds Sing a Little DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE Song Together

Youtube Video

Last summer, Deadpool & Wolverine ruled cinema screens. It heralded the long-awaited returns of both “the Merc with the Mouth.” and the mutant Logan after many years. And stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, pushed their blockbuster in as many creative ways as they possibly could. But their best promotional appearance for Deadpool & Wolverine was actually on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The two actors decided to perform a little song, where the two throw friendly insults at each other. Both insults to themselves, and to their characters. You can watch Reynolds and Jackman’s one minute Deadpool & Wolverine song right here:

Jackman makes reference to starring in ten whole movies as Wolverine over twenty years, to which Reynolds retorts with an “Ok, Boomer” jab. Jackman is actually a Gen X-er, having been born in 1968, but Logan is way older than a Baby Boomer, so maybe we’ll give this one to Ryan Reynolds. When Jackman drops his X-Men credentials, Ryan Reynolds responds by saying “Yawn.” But good old Hugh reminds Ryan that Green Lantern was a big bomb. It sure seems like Ryan Reynolds will never stop self-flagellating over his attempt at playing DC Comics’ Emerald Gladiator. It is pretty funny when he does it though.

We expect both Jackman and Reynolds to return for either Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars. They have to show up in some capacity, right? Marvel still has to explain that scene Deadpool has with Thor that we saw on the monitors in the TVA. But despite its massive box office success, there has been no official announcement for a follow-up film to Deadpool & Wolverine. Maybe Marvel Studios is planning a Deadpool & Wolverine & Gambit movie adding Channing Tatum? That seems to be what most fans want. Now, just sit back and imagine the amount of busting each other’s balls we would get on that particular press tour.
