Something smells amiss here.
One member of the “Good Morning America” team was onto Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ affair long before it was exposed.
Robach & Holmes’ Rumored Romance Has Been Going On For Years
Following recent photos showing the co-hosts canoodling, hugging and spending time together surfaced, it’s been reported a ‘GMA’ co-anchor was onto them.
Veteran anchor and TV personality, Robin Roberts, reportedly confronted her co-workers about their affair years ago.
In a new report from Page Six, Roberts warned Robach and Holmes about the rumors circulating in the office regarding a possible romance between them.
Multiple sources confirmed this to the outlet.
Robin Roberts Confronted Them About Affair
Robach and Holmes were outed after the Daily Mail published a multitude of paparazzi photos showing the co-anchors engaging in PDA.
It must be noted, Holmes was married to Marilee Fiebig while Robach was married to Andrew Schune before leaving him in August. The latter couple have been separated for four months, but were reportedly working things out.
The co-workers were spotted “canoodling” at bars near ABC News in May.
However, rumors of something more going on between them date back as far as 2017, according to PS.
An insider revealed that Roberts pulled them both aside and basically told them to “Stop it.”
Roberts Told Them To “Stop It”
When Roberts confronted them about a romance, Holmes reportedly denied it. He was allegedly so concerned about the rumors hurting his career with ABC that he went to the higher-ups and squashed them himself.
“He was a correspondent at the time, and he didn’t want Robin thinking that about him. He went to [ABC brass] and got ahead of it to dismiss it because it wasn’t true,” they said.
An additional source told the publication that Holmes went straight to former ‘GMA’ executive producer Michael Corn, because “it was absolutely not true, and it freaked them out. Amy and T.J.’s friendship took a hit when the rumors started.”
Here’s the crazy twist.
Holmes, Fiebig, Robach and Shune were reportedly close friends and would go on double dates.
The Couples Used To Go On Double Dates
What’s more, the male co-anchor reportedly had a years-long affair with a “Good Morning America” executive prior to his relationship with Robach.
This executive also worked with Robach at the time of their affair with Holmes. The exec reportedly left ‘GMA’ in 2017.
Holmes and Robach will not face disciplinary action because they are two consenting adults.
“They’re not ashamed. They’re two consenting adults, who ended up loving each other,” one source told Page Six.
