Taylor Swift has announced the Video on Demand (VOD) release of The Eras Tour concert film.
Appropriately, the film’s home release is set for December 13th — aka Swift’s birthday. What’s more, the at-home version includes performances of three songs excluded from the theatrical release: “Wildest Dreams,” “The Archer,” and “Long Live.”
“I have a birthday coming up and I was thinking a fun way to celebrate the year we’ve had together would be to make ‘The Eras Tour Concert Film’ available for you to watch at home!” Swift wrote in a social media post announcing the release. “Very happy to be able to tell you that the extended version of the film including ‘Wildest Dreams,’ ‘The Archer’ and ‘Long Live’ will be available to rent on demand in the US, Canada & additional countries to be announced soon starting on … you guessed it, December 13th.”
Swift also shared a new teaser trailer for the film featuring her performance of “Wildest Dream.” Watch it below.
Originally released in theaters on October 13th, 2023, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour quickly became the highest-grossing concert film of all time. After setting pre-sale and opening weekend records, the film has grossed over $250 million at the box office to date. In her review for Consequence, associate editor Mary Siroky lauded The Eras Tour film for capturing the magic of Swift’s mammoth tour.
Swift played her final concert of 2023 at São Paulo, Brazil on Sunday. She’ll resume “The Eras Tour” beginning in February with shows in Japan, Australia, and more. In late 2024, she’ll return to America for shows in Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, Toronto, and Vancouver.
