McDonald’s Snack Wrap launch “overwhelmed” NYC delivery due to high sales

McDonald's Marketing shares Snack Wraps sales

The long-awaited return of McDonald’s Snack Wrap has smashed expectations, with some locations selling in a single day what was originally forecasted for an entire week, or more.

Launched nationwide on July 10, 2025, the Snack Wrap is back in both Classic Ranch and Spicy versions. Fans can grab one for $3 or opt for a $10 combo with two wraps, fries, and a medium drink.

According to Guillaume Huin, McDonald’s U.S. Senior Director of Brand Communications, the first day of sales reached unprecedented levels.

Some stores sold out in just hours

Some restaurants sold out before dinner, with certain locations reporting delivery systems overwhelmed, especially in parts of New York City where multiple office orders flooded the system.

The number of Snack Wraps sold per restaurant on day one was described as “on par or higher than anything we’ve seen recently,” with Ranch leading the charge. However, demand for the Spicy version also outpaced initial expectations.

“Some places sold out on day one and did not even make it to dinner, BUT everything should be back on today thanks to our amazing supply partners,” he said in a post on X.

To meet the overwhelming response, McDonald’s supply teams worked overnight to ensure stores were restocked for day two.

The Snack Wrap’s comeback has also made waves online. Searches for Snack Wrap GIFs on GIPHY spiked by more than 146,000%, showing how fan excitement on social media translated directly to in-store demand.

On top of the impressive stats, Huin says that he’s taking notes about a highly requested Honey Mustard variant of the snack wrap. Given how many years of requests from customers are what led to the item’s return, it’s quite possible we may see a third snack wrap sooner rather than later.
