Following the massive success of Barbie, Margot Robbie is now one of the most powerful people in Hollywood. According to new reports, Robbie is set to put that power behind a remake of the 1958 cult classic Attack of the 50 Foot Woman.

The original Attack of the 50 Foot Woman was released in 1958 and was directed by Nathan H. Juran. The film starred Allison Hayes as the titular 50 Foot Woman alongside William Hudson and Yvette Vickers. Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman was remade in 1993 as an HBO movie directed by Christopher Guest and starring Daryl Hannah.

Now, according to reports, Margot Robbie is set to star and produce in another remake of the project with Batman and Beetlejuice filmmaker Tim Burton attached to direct.

Burton most recently directed Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, which, other than the Netflix series Wednesday, was his most successful project in decades, as it grossed over $450 million at the global box office.

As for Robbie, she hasn’t starred in a movie since Barbie as she gave birth to her first child in October 2024.

She will next be seen starring alongside Colin Farrell, Kevin Kline, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge in A Big Bold Beautiful Journey from After Yang director Kogonada, which is set to be released in movie theaters on September 19, 2025.
