KIM Kardashian is dropping $8 million on her Palm Springs dream mansion’s construction years after purchasing the property and experiencing building delays.
Kim, 44, bought the La Quinta land with her now ex-husband Kanye West in 2019 for $6,300,000.
She won the property in their divorce, as the home was transferred to her sole trust in 2023.
The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal the mother of four filed a new permit for the land on October 28, 2024.
The Building Residential Permit covers “new dwellings, additions, remodels, carports and garages,” according to the City of La Quinta.
According to the permit, the single-family residence will be 20,310 square feet, featuring seven bedrooms, a pool and a spa.

Construction for the one-story home will set the Skims founder back $8 million.
The status of the permit is currently under review.
BUILDING ISSUES
As The U.S. Sun previously reported, this is the second permit Kim filed for the 1.89-acre land.
The U.S. Sun first broke The Kardashians star filed to build on the land in the winter of 2021.
Building was first postponed in February 2022 when The U.S. Sun reported the City of La Quinta requested more information to meet fire safety and pool codes before the construction commenced.
The application then expired, forcing Kim to start back to square one.
After Kim renewed the application, the City of La Quinta gave her architecture team until June 29, 2023, to comply with their updated plans.
But Kim’s building permit application expired again in June 2023.
OUT OF THIS WORLD
The initial permit filed in 2021 showed the home will feature a circular outdoor courtyard right in the center of the triangular-shaped home.
The design from the original sketch showed her home shaped like a rounded-edged triangle with a hole in the center of it, intended for the courtyard.
The courtyard will feature a fountain and pond.
The former blueprint also included bathrooms, a garage, laundry rooms, utility rooms, a kitchen, and more amenities.
Some of the luxury features included automatic sensor lights and solar panels on the roof.
‘DREAM’ HOME
In April 2023, Kim shared her building plans with fans.
“Met with the master himself, Tadao Ando to review and discuss a dream project we have been working on for the past two years,” she captioned a series of photos.
“I visited his office in Japan so that we could make the finishing touches before we break ground.
“So deeply honored and incredibly humbled to have the opportunity to work with him and finally see this special project come to life.”
In the photos, Kim could be seen meeting with the architect with designs of the home and building plans on a table.
She also shared prototype photos of the outside and inside of the future house.
The Kardashians are taking over the exclusive area in La Quinta, The Madison Club, as Kim’s property is down the street from her mom Kris, 67, and younger sister Kylie, 25.
The property is just a little over five miles from Empire Polo Club, Indio, which is where Coachella takes place each year.

HIDDEN HILLS CONSTRUCTION
But the construction doesn’t end there, as The U.S. Sun obtained aerial photos of several walls being torn down of her Hidden Hills home, which is her primary residence.
Kim and Kayne purchased the home in 2014 for a reported $20 million before renovating it.
Kim now lives in the home with her children North, 11, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5.
In one snap, what appears to be Kim’s daughter Chicago’s room, has been demolished, leaving just an exposed purple wall.
The lavish grounds surrounding Kim’s mansion also appear to be getting an overhaul, with fencing blocking off the tennis court and adjacent pool.
The minimalist property boasts eight bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a cinema, basketball court and a huge swimming pool.
The home is fully decorated in white, beige and cream tones.
