KIM Kardashian sparked the wrath of fans on Instagram after sharing a throwback photograph from a Wicked-themed slumber party.
At the end of October, Kim turned her Calabasas home into her own personal Oz for a pajama party for the family’s children to watch the movie weeks before it hit cinemas.
Guests of honour included Wicked’s lead stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, who joined them in matching pink and green Skims pajamas.
Following the success of the movie, Kim shared a group picture from the event, showing Kim’s sisters Khloe, Kourtney, Kylie and momager Kris Jenner, with most of their kids.
North West, Chicago West, Psalm West, Penelope Disick, True Thompson, Dream Kardashian and Stormi Webster all beamed as they posed for the pic.
Today, Kim reposted the photograph in black and white to remember the moment – but it didn’t go down well with fans, who had already shared their dislike of the family getting special treatment.
The event came with a pink and green buffet, balloon arches and special drinks.
Guests also received their own exclusive merch including Glinda and Elphaba dolls, make-up and Funko Pops.
So the re-post prompted fans to call them out on their “privilege”.
Taking to the comments, one wrote: “Now, when you have the coin…. You can rent Ariana and Cynthia for the day. Nowwww, this is off the runway”
“People actually get sick of you all flaunting your privilege during these times. Why not flaunt your giving back in some real and meaningful way?” said a second.
A third noted: “How much did that cost? Probably more than a homeless shelter.”
“Imagine having to keep up this level of spoiled when the kids grow up,” said a fourth.
The event, held on October 23, kickstarted the prolific promotional campaign for Wicked, which has become the must-watch movie of the year.
Within two weeks, the film looks set to break box-office records to become the highest grossing movie musical adaptation of all-time – something previously held by 1979’s Grease.
Wicked Part Two has already been completed and is expected to be released next year.
