Kanye, 46, founded the music label in March 2004 and has signed big names in music including John Legend, 45, Big Sean, 36, and Kid Cudi, 40.

The names above have since left the label.

From 2011 to 2022, G.O.O.D Music signed a long-term distribution contract with The Island Def Jam Music Group.

‘I DON’T WANT TO BE HERE’

In a TikTok video shared by user feeltheroom, they attended a recent Kacy concert where she explained what she had to do to be released from Kanye’s label.

“I was signed to him, I was signed to G.O.O.D Music it was so crazy,” she began.

“So, Def Jam basically paid to like shoot the album cover for my second album, whatever, and then they were like ‘Actually we don’t know if we want you still.’

“And I was like, ‘That’s crazy cause I don’t want to be here either.'”

The company then told the Arm’s Length hitmaker that the only person who could let her go from the company was Kanye himself.

“However, at that time, he decided he didn’t want to use email and he also didn’t have an assistant so I was like ‘That is so crazy.’

“So for the next six months of my life and this is a true story I’m not exaggerating anything. It’s crazier than I could even tell it.

Kanye West mocked by Jimmy Kimmel for adult entertainment plans as comedian jokes rapper is a ‘business genius’

“I went to Sunday service every weekend of my life and it was like going to someone’s wedding with like a contract in your hand where I would go and be like ‘That was really beautiful sir.'”

When Kacy asked to speak with Kanye, he told her to attend a rehearsal, but wasn’t given a place where rehearsal was being held.

She then explained that she went to an office building in Calabasas, California.

The alternative singer continued her story, “[Kanye] was like ‘Why are you here?’ and I was like ‘Um, I need to get out of this deal.’
