The Singer Is Working On Becoming More ‘Self-Aware’

Lopez also revealed that she took the past year to dig “deep” within herself to learn about the “patterns” in her life and what it is about her that makes them happen.
The singer said that through this process, she “learned so much about” herself, which has helped her to become “more self-aware. And that self-awareness is a very empowering thing.”
“Everybody makes mistakes,” Lopez continued. “There’s not a human being on the planet who’s not going to make a mistake. That’s something I needed to learn. Did you think I was perfect? She added, “I also have to go through things, right? I must make these lessons my own in order to evolve and grow.”

Jennifer Lopez Shares Advice On Knowing One’s ‘Worth’

Elsewhere in her chat with El País, Lopez revealed the advice she would give herself.
The “Ain’t Your Mama” singer said, “I guess the advice I would give myself is what I would give my kids: you have to really understand your worth and value. And don’t let things that other people say affect you. Understand who you are, and believe in that.”
She emphasized that it’s essential for a person to “understand their power,” noting that at the start of he career she was “very easily influenced and affected by other people’s opinions” of her.
“But then, you have kids and go, ‘Wait a minute, who cares what they say?’ You learn through them. That would be the advice that I would give myself: other people’s misconceptions of you do not define who you are,” Lopez stated.
