Jennifer Lopez Says She’s A ‘Bad Picker’ At TIFF Amid Ben Affleck Divorce

After three divorces and a fourth one ongoing, Jennifer Lopez has admitted that she is probably not great at choosing partners.

During a conversation at the Toronto International Film Festival, the actress made the revelation by labeling herself as a “bad picker.”

Jennifer Lopez attended the festival for the debut of her film, “Unstoppable,” and wore a stunning “revenge” dress that turned heads.

Lopez’s appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday involved more than flaunting her stunning body; the actress also revealed at the event that she is prone to making the wrong choice in relationships.

Speaking with “Unstoppable” co-star Bobby Cannavale, the actress labeled herself a “bad picker,” seemingly referencing how all her attempts at marriage have crashed.

And despite Cannavale appearing not to hear her the first time, Lopez didn’t hesitate to repeat herself multiple times, laughing a little as if amused by her relationship troubles.

She further elaborated on her admission, saying, “It is what it is,” which hinted that she had accepted the fate of her current marriage.

However, the actress avoided discussing the details of her ongoing divorce from Ben Affleck, continuing to remain silent as she has since rumors first began swirling about their marital troubles.

For the “Unstoppable” premiere, Lopez donned a look that ensured she was the center of attention.

The shimmering silver, ankle-length gown was adorned with intricate, layered square shapes, giving it a distinct, artistic flair.

Although it covered Lopez’s front and back views, it left little to the imagination on the sides as it revealed the actress’s side boobs, flawless legs, and side belly. It also highlighted her decision to skip out on wearing underwear for the event.

The “Atlas” star then secured the daring gown with three black bows on each side, with another pair serving as the clasp for the top of the gown.

She also elevated her look with a pair of open-toe stilettos that perfectly matched her outfit and carried a metallic clutch in the same hue. Her hair was styled loose, draping over her shiny earrings and cascading down her lower back curve.

Lopez received a barrage of compliments on Instagram, where she posted highlights of her outfits from her appearance at TIFF.

A fan wrote, “Trailblazing through that red carpet mama. Always captivating, always the icon, and always one of a kind. This is pure magic.”

Other fans congratulated her on her starring role in the “Unstoppable” movie and complimented her strong look amid her ongoing divorce.

One said, “Always iconic and with your radiant light, Jen! Very proud of the beautiful human being you are. Te amo  congratulations.”

A second user commented, “Power, Strength, Determination. You are UNSTOPPABLE. Welcome back, my sweet Jen.”

Although Lopez and Affleck both have a stake in the film project, she was the only one of the duo spotted at the event.

Affleck was conspicuously absent despite claims that several showrunners had tried to get him to attend the event to create buzz for the movie.

It is unclear why Affleck skipped out on making an appearance, but it is possible he wanted to avoid running into Lopez in such a setting.

The two are currently discussing finalizing their divorce, opting for mediation to divide their assets rather than battling it out in court.

They did not have a prenup when they got married, which lends reason to why such a mediation is necessary. To help with the process, Lopez and Affleck have reportedly enlisted the services of high-powered divorce attorney Laura Wasser. Wasser previously worked with Kim Kardashian and Kevin Costner.

Before Lopez and Affleck’s divorce news, the duo had been trying to sell off their massive marital home in Beverly Hills.

The luxurious property was purchased in May 2023 and was listed on the market in July 2024 for $68 million.

While it is unclear when a sale will finally occur, sources have revealed that buying the house in the first place was not Lopez’s idea, despite her investing a lot of time in searching for one at the time.

“The $68 million mansion was Ben’s idea,” explained an insider about the marital home purchase, per People Magazine. Apparently, Lopez prefers the “romantic, Spanish, European vibe,” which made choosing the Beverly Hills mansion a “major compromise for her.”

They added, “She agreed to it because of its spacious layout, accommodating both their families, a gym and a pickleball court, office space, plus it has two private entrances.”
