Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck Ignore Second Wedding Anniversary

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck spent their second wedding anniversary on opposite coasts as rumors of marital woes continue to swirl.

Lopez was spotted wearing her wedding ring on a bike ride in the Hamptons, while Affleck was seen suited up at his Los Angeles office.

The embattled couple tied the knot on July 16, 2022, and later paid $60 million for a sprawling Los Angeles home fitting for their blended family.

However, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are reportedly “in a rush” to sell their marital mansion after the actor moved his things out and into a rental home.

Lopez and Affleck’s first anniversary made headlines due to the special way they celebrated it, but their second wedding anniversary was a more low-key affair.

Amid speculations of marital discord, the couple didn’t spend the special day together; however, the “Jenny From The Block” singer still spotted her wedding ring during a bike ride in the Hamptons.

She flashed the sparkling band as she rode through the Hamptons in white overalls, flip-flops, and hoop earrings.

The Grammy nominee styled her hair back in a bun and was also seen riding in the company of her manager, Benny Medina.

Meanwhile, Affleck was dressed in suits for the special day at his L.A. office and carried a black travel bag.

Around this time last year, they turned up for lunch at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, where Lopez spotted a Valentino minidress and silver heels, while Affleck, the “Argo” actor, was dressed in an all-black ensemble.

The distance between them on their wedding anniversary could be linked to reports of their imminent divorce after a report claimed that their marriage has been “over” for months.

They also haven’t been pictured together in over a month as she spends time in the Hamptons following a recent European vacation while the Oscar winner stays back in L.A.

According to Entertainment Tonight, a source close to the couple revealed that they have been “living separate lives,” although they’re “not officially separated yet.”

“At this point, they are just doing their own thing,” the insider shared. “They went into their relationship very optimistic and thought things could change, but they haven’t.”

The “Let’s Get Loud” singer and the “Good Will Hunting” actor are now “in a rush” to sell their marital home after almost two years of searching for the perfect home.

A source told US Weekly that they “never felt settled” since moving into the 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom mansion, which they put on the market for $68 million.

The property is 38,000 square feet and sits on a 5.2-acre lot. It has amenities such as basketball and pickleball courts, a fully equipped gym, a boxing ring, a 12-car garage, a zero-edge pool, a guest penthouse, and more.

“They thought they could sell it off-market but made a game-time decision in order to put more eyes on the property,” the insider told the news outlet. “They are in a rush to sell it. Ben especially wants to be done with the house. He was never happy there.”

“They rarely have all the kids there at once, so it felt huge for the two of them,” they added. “Nothing has been decided yet as far as the divorce, but selling the house is the first step.”

All hopes for a reunion between Affleck and Lopez are not lost, as their children are understood to be working behind the scenes to bring them “back together.”

According to the Daily Mail, an insider shared that their children want them to sort out their differences and settle things before the singer’s 55th birthday on July 24, adding that “there is hope they could all celebrate together for a mellow family party in Los Angeles.”

“The kids think Jennifer and Ben are really, deeply in love, like soul mates and they don’t want them to divorce,” a source told the the news outlet. “They want them to work it out for better or for worse, like their vows said. And they do feel that the two should continue counseling and talking it out, even if it is painful.”

Lopez’s mom, Guadalupe Rodriguez, is seemingly one of those anticipating the couple’s split and has allegedly advised her daughter to jump off the sinking ship of her marriage.

“Jennifer’s mom told her, ‘Cut your losses and move on to avoid getting any deeper in this mess,'” an insider dished to the Daily Mail.

According to the source, Rodriguez also told the Hollywood star that “she’s wasted years believing that Ben was some kind of knight in shining armor, seemingly referencing her daughter’s decision to marry Affleck after their first failed engagement.

The insider added, “He was not the person she built him up to be. It’s taken too much of a toll on her, and because of this, she has lost sight of who she is and what she stands for.”
