A STAY-AT-HOME mum has claimed that she now makes five times more a month than she did in her office job.
Megan Sweeney, a first-time-mum who is currently pregnant with her second child, explained that she used to work in sales, but now earns cash through content creation.

Posting on social media, Megan opened up about her new job, as she explained: “Transparency about earning money in this industry is SO important for those wanting to start earning themselves an income online.”
As she filmed a typical ‘day in the life’, she said: “I now earn around five times more per month than I used to in my office job.
“I’m not sure why the word ‘content creator’ makes me cringe so much but that is essentially what I am.
“A lot of people think content creation and influencing are exactly the same thing but they’re actually completely different.
“There’s always a lot of questions surrounding my line of work and I completely understand it.
“I’m a stay-at-home mum that also earns money and I’m going to run you through how.
“I’m going to run you through a typical day in the life and also explain how I earn my money.”
Megan then opened up about her life, as she added: “I’m a 24-year-old first time mum to this lovely toddler named Margot.
“I’m also nearly eight months pregnant with my second mum baby, which means I’m soon to be a mum to two under two.
“I have three different streams of income – the most obvious one is social media.”
Discussing how she earns money through social media, she explained: “There’s endless ways you can be paid from social media but the two main ways I get paid are the TikTok Beta programme which is essentially being paid for views and then the thing that brings me in the most income are the campaigns that run alongside social media.
“To be completely transparent, this work does fluctuate quite often.
“I’ve had months where I’ve had so much brand work that I cannot keep up with it and I’ve also had months where I’ve not had a single email.
“More often than not the work is quite steady, but because I do have other streams of income, I don’t have the time to outbound.

“This essentially means I rely solely on inbound emails, so if the brands don’t email me, I just don’t get the work.
“Obviously I hope there is a point when I can start out-bounding for a bit more work, but I am not at that level right now.
“I simply don’t have the time or the mental capacity, obviously I’m growing a baby and I’m also looking after a baby full-time.”
We then saw Megan at a photo shoot with her daughter, as she continued: “On the social media side of things, I do rely on brand work to pay my bills.
“Every day is different – today we had a photoshoot for social media.
“I probably could rely on social media to make an income but I’m not about that life just yet, I like to be comfortable and earn extra money.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @megannsweeneyy, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 31,600 views.
Social media users were grateful for Megan’s honesty about her earnings and many took to the comments to express this.
One person said: “Love that you’re talking about this!”
Another added: “Love your honesty.”
Meanwhile, a third asked: “What is the beta programme? How do you get part of this?”
In response, Megan shared: “It’s the TikTok beta programme! It’s the creator fund, there should be a tab in your settings about it.”
At the same time, someone else questioned: “What did you study and what was your previous job?”
To this, Megan confirmed: “I studied pharmacy! Previous job was in sales.”
Whilst another wondered: “When did you start getting brand deals? And do you remember what following you had at the time?”
To this, Megan replied: “Around 40k, but in my next video I’ll cover what I did before 40k.”
