Glengarry Glen Ross to Return to Broadway with Killer Cast

Glengarry Glen Ross is coming back to Broadway. Boasting a killer cast of Kieran Culkin, Bob Odenkirk, and Bill Burr, the new run of David Mamet’s Pulitzer Prize-winning stage play is set to open in the spring of 2025.

The production will mark the Broadway debut of both Odenkirk and Burr. Culkin, for his part, hit the stage in 2014, appearing in This Is Our Youth. Wrangling the actors will be director Patrick Marber, who previously helmed the Tony-winning Leopoldstadt.

“In 1983, I saw the original production of Glengarry Glen Ross in London,” Marber said in a statement. “I was just nineteen. The play blew my young soul away. It was one of the reasons I wanted to work in theatre. Forty years later, I am so thrilled to be directing it on Broadway with these incredible actors. I will do my utmost to ensure that this great American play brings audiences the same great pleasures it brought to me.”

Further casting and production details have yet to be announced, though Jeffrey Richards and Rebecca Gold have signed on as lead producers.

Telling the story of a cutthroat real estate office in Chicago, Glengarry Glen Ross first opened in 1983 to widespread acclaim. Famously, it was later adapted into a star-studded, highly-quotable film in 1992.

Culkin and Odenkirk have both wrapped up tenures on beloved television series in recent years — Succession and Better Call Saul, respectively. Culkin is also set to appear in the upcoming film A Real Pain. Meanwhile, Burr just finished another standup comedy tour (though he has one loosey left in Tennessee; pick up tickets here).
