Ghost's Rite Here Rite Now Movie Earns $5 Million Worldwide

Ghost’s debut feature film Rite Here Rite Now has proven to be a big success at the box office, grossing over $5 million worldwide.

Following the movie’s opening weekend (June 20th through the 23rd), the total gross of $5.04 million put the hybrid narrative/concert film into the global box office Top 10 at No. 9 despite limited screenings compared to the weekend’s other feature films. It was screened in over 1,800 cinemas across 49 territories.

Rite Here Rite Now is also a hit in North America, where it grossed a total of $2.65 million, making it the highest-grossing limited hard rock cinema event ever on the continent.

The film reached No. 3 at the June 20th box office with a gross of more than $1.12M and a per-screen average of $1,492 across 755 theaters; on June 21st, it grossed more than $238k across 366 movie theaters; on June 22nd, over $1.03M and a per-screen average of $1,376K across 751 theaters; and lastly, on June 23rd, over $257K and a per-screen average of $718 across 358 theaters.

Due to demand, further screenings have been added in select markets for this week and next.

“Having wanted to make a movie for most of my life, I was overwhelmed to see the interest our fans showed in the film before it was even released,” remarked Ghost mastermind Tobias Forge. “Now as people seem to have not only seen it, but also seem to dig it… That really gets my motor humming. Thank you all!”

Fans and filmgoers can also pre-order the 18-song Rite Here Rite Now original soundtrack on various formats (digital, CD, and vinyl) in advance of its July 26th release date. Mixed by Rich Costey, the album — mostly captured during two sold-out shows at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles in 2023 — includes the new song “The Future Is a Foreign Land.”
