After scoring a good half-century in its first week, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is now getting back into action this weekend. Expectedly, the footfalls had relatively slowed down during the weekdays, something which is characteristic of the majority of Hollywood action movies.
Despite these films being liked by the audiences and registering good numbers, they usually perform far better during the weekend with good jumps seen, something which is similar to the kind of trend that’s seen out there in the West as well from where they originally come.
This weekend would turn out to be an even better scenario for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire since there has been no new notable release. Moreover, on the premium IMAX, 3D, and 4DX screens, there is zero competition, and the whole stage is wide open for the film to perform. While Crew has seen a gain in footfalls as well, a similar kind of trend would be seen for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire this week as well, where it would have an edge over its Bollywood counterpart but won’t really go there and rock the show entirely by bringing crazy numbers.
This was seen on Friday as well when 3 crore more came for the film. This is impressive and better than what the film had managed on Thursday. However, the real fun would be today as the collections would see a very good jump.
In fact, even the afternoon shows at many premium properties are going houseful already, and the situation will only turn out better by the time the day comes to a close. So far, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has collected 57 crore, and it will easily go past 65 crore mark before the second weekend is through.
