DAVID Lynch has announced something is coming in a cryptic new video.
Fans theorized the Mulholland Drive director was teasing Dune or Twin Peaks sequels.
On Monday, Lynch, 78, posted a selfie video on X, formally Twitter, that showed him sitting beside a window while wearing sunglasses in the dark.
In his first post in 18 months, the Lost Highway director told his fans, “Ladies and Gentleman, something is coming along for you to see and ear.
“And it will be coming along on June 5,” he added.
Excited fans rushed to reveal their anticipation for the upcoming announcement on the post, with one fan writing, “Looking forward to it, no matter what it is.”
“I’m so looking forward to hearing this!!!” tweeted another.
“I just knew you had something in the pipeline, David. I can’t tell you how much I look forward to whatever you have to announce. I know it will be good. It always is with you,” added a third.
One fan speculated, “This could either be a new Twin Peaks Season or David is working on wooden animals again. Both would be fantastic.”
“You have a short film coming out on the Vegas Sphere to fill the public with awe and bewilderment?” guessed another.
A third commenter joked, “OMG he’s directing Barbie 2.”
A fourth person commented, “I am doing my best attempt to not be extremely hyped for this and I am failing.”
“Well I am full of anticipation,” tweeted another.
Lynch, who began his directing career with Eraserhead in 1977, is known for his surrealist, often dream-like films and television series.

Most recently Lynch co-wrote and directed Twin Peaks: The Return in 2017, a sequel of his mystery drama Twin Peaks which ran for three seasons between 1990 and 1991.
He also co-wrote and directed a prequel film, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me in 1992.
Famously, before Denis Villeneuve’s box office hits Dune: Part One and Two, Lynch took a swing at adapting the Frank Herbert novel.
Though the 1984 film has now developed a cult following, at its release the movie was a box office and critical disappointment.
