BMI’s board has extended the contract of president and CEO Mike O’Neill through 2029.

Imagine

Music-focused creative studio Imagine has opened a Paris division and tapped Marie Gleiss (head of expansion) as well as Maxence Janvrin (business development manager) to lead it.

Insignia Assets

Under a broader tie-up involving his Fo Yo Soul Recordings, Kirk Franklin has joined “collaborative media and entertainment company” Insignia Assets as chief of creative services.

PRS for Music

PRS members have elected Cathy Dennis to the Writer Council.

Gyro Group

Gyro has brought on longtime Unified Music Group higher-up Matthew Rogers as chief commercial officer.

Spotify

Farrin Jay, previously Snap’s comms director, is now Spotify’s global head of consumer product and tech communications.

Centricity Music

Centricity Music has announced four promotions, upping nine-year team member Matt Ewald to A&R VP; Kris Love (a 12-year company vet) to promotions VP; Joshua Wurzelbacher (eight years) to creative VP; and Michael Pons (five years) to finance VP.

Recording Academy

The Recording Academy has elected national officers as well as 19 leaders to its 2025-27 board of trustees. Regarding officers, Chelsey Green is chair, Seeker Music’s Evan Bogart is vice chair, Jennifer Blakeman (also with Seeker) is secretary/treasurer, and Placement Music founder Tammy Hurt is chair emeritus.

Arista Records

Sony Music’s Arista has confirmed Clio Massey (previously with Sony Music Publishing) and A&R vet Matt D’Arduini as co-presidents.

UMPG UK

Longtime Columbia A&R exec Julian Palmer has signed on as UMPG UK’s senior director of A&R and catalog.

Guitar Center

Guitar Center’s Music & Arts has hired Jennifer Thayer as president.

Wasserman

Nearly 10-year Wasserman higher-up Shelley Pisarra has been promoted to chief insights and innovation officer.

Hallwood Media

Hallwood has boosted Tal Meltzer, part of the company since 2022, to COO.

CISAC

CISAC has announced its new board, with APRA AMCOS head Dean Ormston elected chair. VG Bild-Kunst’s Urban Pappi and SOCAN’s Jennifer Brown have been elected and reelected vice chair, respectively.
