Ben Affleck Removes His Belongings From His Marital Home

The actor allegedly removed all of his belongings from their shared $60 million mansion in Los Angeles, which they have placed on the market.

Jennifer Lopez recently returned from her Europe vacation and was spotted visiting Ben Affleck in his office on Wednesday.

Lopez was in Italy last week, where she was pictured sunbathing on a boat ride with friends and enjoying her vacation away from her marriage troubles.

While she was enjoying her me-time, her embattled husband reportedly went to their shared $60 million to move his things.

According to People magazine, a source shared that the “Argo” actor took advantage of her absence to clear out his possessions, further fueling rumors of an “imminent” split.

“Ben continues to live at the Brentwood rental. He’s been there for about two months now,” a source shared. “He seems okay. He’s been at his office every day and seems focused on work. He’s also spending time with his kids.”

The “Hustlers” actress has since returned from her trip and was seen Wednesday entering Artists Equity, the production company co-founded by Affleck and Matt Damon. She was seen making the outing in a red top and sunglasses.

A day after his wife’s visit, the “Deep Water” actor appeared lost in thought, with a pensive countenance, while leaving his office. According to the Daily Mail, Affleck, dressed in a dark suit with a white shirt, carried an iced coffee in one hand and a duffel bag in another.

On the other hand, Lopez has looked cheerful since returning from her European vacation. On Thursday, the singer shared a skincare tutorial video on her JLo Beauty Instagram account, in which she looked happy. She sat in the dressing room of their Bel Air mansion in ivory silk lingerie as she implored fans to apply her serum richly.

“Get every last drop out of every day @jlo. Make it a great one by starting with That Limitless Glow Sheet Mask, infused with an ounce of our iconic JLo Glow Serum,” the caption read.

According to the Daily Mail, insiders have revealed that Affleck’s best friend and business partner, Matt Damon, warned him against reigniting his romance with Lopez long before they tied the knot in 2022.

Amid reports that their marriage is nearing its end, a source told the news outlet that Damon is trying to prevent his former alcoholic friend from relapsing and has reportedly advised him to “focus on his work” so he doesn’t lose sight of his goals.

“Matt tried to warn Ben when he got back together with JLo that this could happen,” an insider revealed. “Matt was there to help Ben get it together after their first split and he felt like this would happen again.”

The source noted that Affleck holds Damon’s advice in high esteem, partly due to his successful 18-year marriage to Luciana Barroso.

“Matt has had a successful marriage for years and Ben has always been in awe of this,” they continued. “Ben spent so much time focusing on JLo’s projects just like he did the first time around. He told Ben, ‘What has she ever done for your career?'”

Affleck’s sobriety has come into question recently due to multiple sources suggesting that he would resort to the bottle again to cope with his troubled marriage with Lopez.

According to the Daily Mail, a source claimed that he’s either “at risk” of turning to his old ways or is already back drinking, while another shared that they’ve “seen him looking glassy-eyed, and it is a real worry to everyone who cares about him.”

However, Damon is understood to be trying his best to prevent his best friend from relapsing.

“Matt is the only real guy friend Ben has. He would not let him get back on the bottle and has been on him to make sure of this,” the insider told the news outlet.

An insider recently revealed to In Touch that Lopez is “pushing for a full-time move to New York,” where she once lived with ex-husband Marc Anthony, with whom she shares 16-year-old twins Max and Emme.

According to the source, Lopez has had this move on her mind “even before things went totally south” with Affleck. Now, “she’s decided to go ahead” with the idea, given the current situation of her marriage.

Although it is unclear when the move to the Big Apple might happen, the source believes that Lopez will not completely cut ties with Los Angeles, where she currently resides.

The insider added, “She’ll probably keep a place in L.A. but she needs to get away from all the noise and the scrutiny on the West Coast.”
